Group Master Behaviour in Invent | IV_Logic_003

In the next example, a master field is set within the Invent file. The configuration involves designating one field as the group master. This setup allows the master field to control the behavior of other fields in the same group. For instance, when fields one and three are hidden, they act independently. However, hiding field two, the master, triggers a cascading effect, affecting all non-master fields in the group. This demonstrates how the master field drives the behavior of the other fields within its group.

00:00:06:02 - 00:00:08:16
So the next field down is

00:00:08:16 - 00:00:13:29
where we've actually set a master in our,
Invent file.

00:00:14:14 - 00:00:17:14
So the settings for this
are something like

00:00:18:02 - 00:00:20:16
setting one of those fields
as a group master.

00:00:20:16 - 00:00:23:03
And then also I've got no spread
specified here.

00:00:23:03 - 00:00:25:14
So this is the configuration.

00:00:25:14 - 00:00:29:19
And then what this is actually doing
is it means that that master field

00:00:29:19 - 00:00:33:21
is controlling all of the other fields
that are within that same group.

00:00:33:21 - 00:00:36:21
So there's one, two, three, four group.

00:00:36:21 - 00:00:38:15
So if we keep an eye on this section here,

00:00:38:15 - 00:00:41:15
I'll start by hiding one
which isn't our group master.

00:00:41:28 - 00:00:44:28
So that's acting in isolation
as you would expect.

00:00:46:00 - 00:00:48:29
Three will do the same thing.

00:00:48:29 - 00:00:53:06
However,
if I hide two, which is set to my master,

00:00:54:25 - 00:00:56:22
you can see that has a knock on effect.

00:00:56:22 - 00:00:58:09
And that's actually having this.

00:00:58:09 - 00:01:01:04
That's driving the behavior
of all of the other fields

00:01:01:04 - 00:01:04:04
within the group
that aren't set as the master.
