Top-Level Albums vs. Sub-Albums
Sharing capabilities are only available for top-level albums.
Sub-albums do not have sharing options.
Default Settings
Sharing should be enabled by default; however, it’s important to verify.
Admin Settings
Navigate to the Infigo admin area.
Search for "Media Album Settings."
Ensure the setting "Can Explicitly Share" is enabled for authorized users.
Initiating Sharing
Log in as an administrator or album administrator.
Select the album to share and click on the share option.
Sharing Options Available
Not Shared: Default state; only the owner and administrators can view.
General: Accessible to anyone with a login on the storefront.
Product: Only specific MegaEdit products can access the media folder.
Category: Users accessing products in specified categories can view the album.
Customer Role: Only users in a certain customer role (e.g., registered) can access.
Departments: Users belonging to a specific department can access if sharing is allowed.
Selecting Customer Role
Choose the "Customer Role" option.
Select the "Registered" role and click save.
Impersonating a User
Log in as a user with certain albums assigned to them via the various sharing options.
Access the shared folder alongside the user’s own folder.
Viewing Shared Folder Details
Information displayed includes:
Logged-in user
Album owner
Sharing method
Users with access
Ability to use contents of the shared folder in MegaEdit products.
