Infigo MultiPart Product Config Builder

This tool aims to provide guidance on the capabilities and setup of MultiPart product types in Infigo.

Whilst their core, default setup allows users to upload a single PDF to a storefront, it has many additional a wide-ranging capabilities. Most of these are applied and configured using XML.

The tool below provides you with a more user-friendly approach to understanding how the XML is structured and fits together. You will find it split into several sections:

  • Global Settings | Settings which influence all "Parts" in the configuration (such as the preview or button configuration)
  • Localization Settings | Add additional language strings to various names and descriptions. Great for storefronts operating in multiple languages.
  • Advanced Settings | Additional settings which are not recommended for beginners. Facilitates features such as 3D preview (if you have the license available) and flipbook view.
  • "Parts" Config | Define and configure the different upload areas available in your product. For example, you might have separate upload areas for a front cover, back cover and interior pages of a brochure.

See the notes detailed within the tool for more detail on its operation.

CAUTION

The MultiPart Config tool below is currently in a beta phase and is primarily suitable for educational and guidance purposes.

You are welcome to use generated configurations in your own Multipart products, however you must ensure that thorough testing is performed before publishing those products.

Localization Options

Provides the ability to show key informational text fields in multiple languages. Use identifying codes matching the "Language culture" column in the "Languages" page of your Infigo admin. This will add new rows within the "Input Items" node. A translation will be available for the name and description of each specified "Part".

Advanced Options (Not Recommended for Most Users)

Settings not recommended for most users. These generally control advanced previews such as flipbook and 3D. Particularly with 3D, a significant amount of additional setup is required (not explicitly covered using this tool)

Check this box to include the advanced MultiPartEditorV2Config node in the final XML. If unchecked, all advanced preview configuration fields below will be hidden and the node will be excluded.

Parts Configuration

Click "Add New Part" to add a part configuration. Each part’s settings will generate a corresponding <PartConfiguration> (for printing/page settings) and <InputItem> (for upload areas). XML content will also be added to the "Output" node to control the order in which the "Parts" are used in conjunction with one another. Using this tool, you can add as many new "Parts" as you require.
