Connect: CERM | Manually mapping (Infigo) departments to (CERM) customers and (Infigo) customers to (CERM) contacts | CI_CERM_007

As we are interfacing between CERM and Infigo, it's important to distinguish between the different terminology used by both pieces of software. (CERM) Customers | (Infigo) Departments- A grouped set of users registered within the system. (CERM) Contacts | (Infigo) Customers - An individual user, usually sitting within one of the groups mentioned previously. The Connect: CERM integration is capable of automating the process of (Infigo) department and (Infigo) customer exchange with CERM's equivalent. Configuring this functionality is covered in other tutorials. Here, we will learn how to manually map the Infigo and CERM equivalents, should you not wish to use the automated processes.

00:00:09:20 - 00:00:10:02
As we're

00:00:10:02 - 00:00:13:06
interfacing between CERM and Infigo,
it's important to distinguish

00:00:13:06 - 00:00:18:13
between the different terminology
used by both pieces of software.

00:00:19:06 - 00:00:21:14
So just a couple of these to cover,
first of all.

00:00:21:14 - 00:00:25:00
So when we're talking about CERM,
where we look at customers,

00:00:25:22 - 00:00:28:22
the equivalent inside
Infigo is department s.

00:00:29:02 - 00:00:31:28
So this is a group set of users
registered within the system.

00:00:33:25 - 00:00:36:11
Then when we were in CERM,
we're talking about contacts,

00:00:36:21 - 00:00:39:09
when we were team
figure, we're talking about customers.

00:00:39:18 - 00:00:43:15
So this is an individual user
usually sitting within one of the groups

00:00:43:23 - 00:00:44:16
mentioned above.

00:00:44:16 - 00:00:46:18
So customers or departments,

00:00:47:26 - 00:00:51:15
the connect system integration
is capable of automating the process

00:00:51:15 - 00:00:56:14
of Infigo department and Infigo customer
exchange with CERM's equivalent,

00:00:57:05 - 00:01:00:11
configuring this functionality
is covered in other tutorials.

00:01:01:16 - 00:01:01:29
Here, we're

00:01:01:29 - 00:01:05:23
going to learn how to manually map
the Infigo in CERM equivalence.

00:01:05:23 - 00:01:09:03
Should you not wish to use
that automated process.

00:01:10:20 - 00:01:13:26
So to start off with and navigate
to our departments page

00:01:14:05 - 00:01:17:24
and we're going to look at mapping
Infigo departments to CERM customers

00:01:18:14 - 00:01:21:00
when performing this process manually,
we must ensure

00:01:21:00 - 00:01:24:05
that the required Infigo department
already exists

00:01:24:22 - 00:01:27:09
so we can create one of this stage
if we so wanted to.

00:01:27:18 - 00:01:32:28
I'm just going to use
one of our existing ones.

00:01:32:28 - 00:01:37:02
Once you've created or identified
the department, click on the Connect link

00:01:37:02 - 00:01:42:11
icon underneath the Commands column.

00:01:42:19 - 00:01:44:25
pop up window is then launched
allowing you to map

00:01:44:25 - 00:01:49:03
the Infigo department
to a specified search customer ID.

00:01:49:27 - 00:01:53:10
So whatever you put in this CERM
customer ID will be automatically linked.

00:01:53:10 - 00:01:57:05
The department that you launched,
the Connect link button from,

00:01:57:28 - 00:02:01:20
put the customer ID number in here
and click on save

00:02:01:20 - 00:02:06:10
external reference.

00:02:06:10 - 00:02:07:01
external reference.

00:02:07:01 - 00:02:10:06
Now you also want to ensure
that Infigo customers

00:02:10:06 - 00:02:13:06
required for this department are selected.

00:02:13:06 - 00:02:16:02
So again, this is
if you are not automating the process.

00:02:16:17 - 00:02:19:17
So if I click on the ‘+’ icon
next to the particular department,

00:02:21:09 - 00:02:24:13
that shows me a list
of all of the available customers

00:02:28:06 - 00:02:31:17
I can select the ones I want to add

00:02:33:02 - 00:02:36:01
and click on Save Change. It's

00:02:37:13 - 00:02:39:14
Next will perform similar actions

00:02:39:14 - 00:02:43:08
mapping Infigo customers
with CERM contacts.

00:02:43:08 - 00:02:46:08
So we're going to begin
by navigating to the customer management

00:02:46:08 - 00:02:49:01
area.

00:02:49:01 - 00:02:58:20
Click on edit next to the Infigo customer
that you want to map.

00:02:58:20 - 00:03:02:05
Then scroll right down to the bottom
of the customer information page

00:03:02:15 - 00:03:03:27
and click on Connect the link

00:03:12:05 - 00:03:14:18
that will
again show you a very similar pop up

00:03:14:28 - 00:03:19:00
and this time you'll be prompted
to put in the contact ID of that

00:03:19:00 - 00:03:21:24
particular customer, which in this case
again has already been mapped.

00:03:23:20 - 00:03:28:03
And then click on Save External Reference,
and that's it.

00:03:28:03 - 00:03:32:25
Your department
and your customer have now been mapped.
