00:00:08:10 - 00:00:09:05
Welcome to the first

00:00:09:05 - 00:00:12:09
tutorial in the Rapid Storefront
Build Guide Series.

00:00:13:07 - 00:00:16:22
This series is eight tutorials
and they'll get you up to speed

00:00:16:22 - 00:00:19:03
with the fundamentals
of your Infigo platform.

00:00:19:03 - 00:00:21:18
In the minimum possible time,

00:00:21:18 - 00:00:24:11
we kick off with an important topic
knowing the difference

00:00:24:11 - 00:00:28:16
between your platform
and storefront administrator accounts.

00:00:29:10 - 00:00:30:19
So what do these mean exactly?

00:00:30:19 - 00:00:32:23
And which one should be you be using?

00:00:32:27 - 00:00:36:07
Which time?

00:00:36:07 - 00:00:40:11
So by now you will have received an email
providing you with log in credentials

00:00:40:11 - 00:00:42:05
to your Infigo platform.

00:00:42:05 - 00:00:44:14
If you haven't found this,
please check your junk folder

00:00:44:20 - 00:00:53:04
and if you still can't find it
and please let us know.

00:00:53:04 - 00:00:57:19
Now, before we delve into Infigo
itself, let's take a closer

00:00:57:19 - 00:01:05:11
look at your platform storefronts
and how they work together.

00:01:05:11 - 00:01:08:15
So starting off with the platform level,

00:01:09:23 - 00:01:10:23
so your platform is

00:01:10:23 - 00:01:13:23
essentially your installation of Infigo.

00:01:13:23 - 00:01:18:20
It's the top level area of the management
of all of the individual websites

00:01:18:20 - 00:01:22:28
or storefronts
which sit on the platform itself.

00:01:22:28 - 00:01:27:16
The platform level is accessed by using
your platform administrator credentials.

00:01:27:24 - 00:01:35:25
From the email that you received,
you won't often have to access

00:01:35:25 - 00:01:41:26
the platform level with most tasks
being conducted from a storefront level.

00:01:41:26 - 00:01:46:20
The primary task undertaken on a platform
level is the creation of new storefronts,

00:01:47:02 - 00:01:50:02
along with new storefronts,
administrator user accounts

00:01:50:02 - 00:01:53:00
associated with those storefronts
that you create.

00:01:54:19 - 00:01:58:02
So there are various other tasks
which are undertaken at platform level.

00:01:58:02 - 00:02:01:04
However, these are not general day to day
usage.

00:02:01:04 - 00:02:05:05
Our tutorial content will guide you
when accessing the platform

00:02:05:05 - 00:02:11:10
level is necessary.

00:02:11:10 - 00:02:14:06
So next
we have an overview of our storefronts.

00:02:14:06 - 00:02:19:21
So storefronts are individual websites
which sit within your platform.

00:02:19:21 - 00:02:23:09
Your Infigo storefronts
are an e-commerce solution for businesses

00:02:23:09 - 00:02:26:19
selling products
or services through a hosted website

00:02:27:29 - 00:02:30:03
Infigo, storefronts can be created

00:02:30:03 - 00:02:33:26
targeting both B2B and B2C applications.

00:02:34:17 - 00:02:38:15
Individual storefronts are created
by initially logging into your platform,

00:02:38:23 - 00:02:41:28
using the platform
administrator credentials from the email.

00:02:42:14 - 00:02:46:01
Once the storefront has been created,
you can also create storefronts

00:02:46:01 - 00:02:49:08
administrators
to oversee the particular storefront.

00:02:51:02 - 00:02:55:09
It is always recommended to perform
the day to day development and management

00:02:55:09 - 00:02:59:04
of your storefronts whilst logged in
as a storefront administrator.

00:02:59:23 - 00:03:03:11
Primarily, this reduces
the risk of human error for new users,

00:03:03:19 - 00:03:07:11
as storefront administrators
can only access the singular storefront

00:03:07:19 - 00:03:09:21
they were created for.

00:03:09:21 - 00:03:13:05
This means no accidental alterations
to other storefronts.

00:03:14:00 - 00:03:16:19
Platform administrators,
on the other hand, can modify

00:03:16:20 - 00:03:20:27
all storefronts on your platform.

00:03:20:27 - 00:03:22:08
Now your own Infigo package

00:03:22:08 - 00:03:25:23
will have been negotiated
with a particular quantity of storefronts.

00:03:26:07 - 00:03:28:26
Should you need more of these
in the future, contact

00:03:28:26 - 00:03:32:29
your Infigo Customer Success Manager
who'll be happy to initiate the process

00:03:37:08 - 00:03:44:06
and so now a little
bit about developing your storefront.

00:03:44:17 - 00:03:47:21
So accessing the Infigo system
at storefront level

00:03:47:23 - 00:03:49:03
is the recommended approach.

00:03:49:03 - 00:03:53:01
As we've mentioned previously, storefronts
facilitate the creation

00:03:53:01 - 00:03:56:01
and management
of virtually every aspect of your site,

00:03:56:11 - 00:04:00:21
and this includes things such as product
management, customer management,

00:04:00:29 - 00:04:03:12
storefront, visual appearance and design,

00:04:04:00 - 00:04:08:24
shipping or delivery capabilities,
payment options, pricing options

00:04:09:02 - 00:04:15:28
and much, much more.

00:04:15:28 - 00:04:20:14
Now Infigo also provide you with
an additional storefront free of charge.

00:04:20:25 - 00:04:25:16
This storefront is included to allow you
to get the very best out of your software.

00:04:25:29 - 00:04:29:26
We highly recommend that you utilize
this additional storefront as a learning

00:04:29:26 - 00:04:33:23
development and testing area,
but ultimately the choice is down to you.

00:04:34:20 - 00:04:38:01
We suggest using this storefront
to evaluate changes in a safe

00:04:38:01 - 00:04:42:11
environment prior
to deploying gets the main storefronts.

00:04:42:11 - 00:04:46:26
Many users also utilize this additional
storefront as a form of shop window.

00:04:47:08 - 00:04:51:06
By taking great care of this site,
it can be utilized to show

00:04:51:06 - 00:04:59:18
your capabilities to potential clients
with devastating effect.

00:04:59:18 - 00:05:01:26
So now a little bit
on storefront applications.

00:05:02:02 - 00:05:05:15
As previously mentioned,
storefronts can be targeted at both

00:05:05:16 - 00:05:08:05
B2B and B2C applications.

00:05:08:18 - 00:05:12:05
Now, whilst the initial setup
between these is virtually identical,

00:05:12:13 - 00:05:15:17
the development of your site
will be dictated by the method

00:05:15:17 - 00:05:17:28
in which your customers
will be interacting with it.

00:05:19:10 - 00:05:20:05
So let's briefly

00:05:20:05 - 00:05:23:01
investigate the B2C and B2B options

00:05:24:03 - 00:05:27:01
available to us
on our Infigo storefronts.

00:05:27:01 - 00:05:29:04
The first step is B2C.

00:05:29:19 - 00:05:33:18
So these types of Infigo storefront
are public facing websites

00:05:33:24 - 00:05:37:28
used to purchase a range of product types,
including but two print type products.

00:05:37:28 - 00:05:41:19
Of course, products can be static
or customizable.

00:05:42:01 - 00:05:44:22
This is a difference
between providing an off the shelf

00:05:45:01 - 00:05:49:01
mug or artwork
print and providing full customization

00:05:49:01 - 00:05:52:05
experiences
where a user can design their own product.

00:05:52:27 - 00:05:55:09
But Infigo B2C, storefront has virtually

00:05:55:09 - 00:05:59:02
limitless applications.

00:05:59:02 - 00:06:01:08
Now we move on to B2B

00:06:01:08 - 00:06:04:25
and they can be categorized
in one of two primary ways

00:06:05:04 - 00:06:08:10
the first being
as an individual storefront.

00:06:08:10 - 00:06:11:14
Now these are storefronts
which would generally be considered or

00:06:11:14 - 00:06:14:23
created for one specific
high value customer.

00:06:15:11 - 00:06:19:06
This storefront would include custom
branding to that singular customer

00:06:19:16 - 00:06:21:28
and contain
only their catalog of products.

00:06:22:12 - 00:06:29:16
In addition, it can include a custom URL
which is bespoke to them.

00:06:29:16 - 00:06:34:13
The second type of B2B storefront
can be categorized as shared storefronts.

00:06:35:13 - 00:06:35:27
These are

00:06:35:27 - 00:06:40:21
ideal for multiple lower value customers,
where each account only has access

00:06:40:21 - 00:06:44:02
to view and purchase the products
directly associated with them.

00:06:45:20 - 00:06:48:24
Generally, these storefronts would contain
generic branding,

00:06:48:24 - 00:06:52:29
although Infigo do offer a module called
Chameleon, which offers more,

00:06:52:29 - 00:06:56:15
which allows you to change the branding,
look and feel of a storefront

00:06:56:22 - 00:06:59:13
based on the user logged in.

00:06:59:13 - 00:07:04:07
these types of storefronts are often
preferred as they provide quicker setup

00:07:04:07 - 00:07:08:09
for large numbers of small customers,
and maintenance is simplified

00:07:08:09 - 00:07:17:22
as everything is contained
within one storefront.

00:07:17:22 - 00:07:19:09
Now, we don't need to spend too much time

00:07:19:09 - 00:07:21:10
looking at this fairly complex slide here.

00:07:21:27 - 00:07:26:04
So this is just a quick example
of storefront structure.

00:07:27:09 - 00:07:30:03
So this shows how both products
and customers

00:07:31:05 - 00:07:33:07
can be categorized and sorted.

00:07:34:04 - 00:07:37:02
So the different elements of the structure
are covered in greater detail

00:07:37:02 - 00:07:38:17
in later tutorials.

00:07:38:17 - 00:07:42:24
What we also have here is a quick
reference guide to product management

00:07:43:25 - 00:07:47:00
and a quick
reference guide to customer management.

00:07:47:00 - 00:07:48:24
Now, we won't go through these
in much detail.

00:07:48:24 - 00:07:51:05
Now we'll cover them as and where need be.

00:07:51:12 - 00:07:54:06
However, they are there for your reference
should you need them.

00:07:54:06 - 00:07:56:26
Now let's look at creating
your first storefront.

00:07:57:10 - 00:08:01:15
So your platform has been provided
with one storefront already created

00:08:01:23 - 00:08:04:13
and with an associated storefront
administrator.

00:08:04:15 - 00:08:08:16
Hence your storefront account details
that we've got down here now.

00:08:08:16 - 00:08:11:01
You are of course,
welcome to use this storefront.

00:08:11:10 - 00:08:14:12
However, our next step in
this tutorial will be to create

00:08:14:21 - 00:08:17:20
and initially configure
a brand new storefront.

00:08:18:22 - 00:08:21:12
So we're going to start off
by doing is logging in

00:08:21:18 - 00:08:23:28
using our platform administrator account.

00:08:24:19 - 00:08:27:13
So I'm just going to take these details
from the email that you've received

00:08:33:01 - 00:08:35:04
and log in to my platform account

00:08:36:14 - 00:08:36:21
there.

00:08:36:21 - 00:08:39:02
I am logged in as my platform account.

00:08:39:03 - 00:08:43:26
You can tell that this is the case
because at the top right of your screen,

00:08:44:23 - 00:08:49:21
if I zoom in slightly, you'll see that
we have this switch storefront button.

00:08:49:21 - 00:08:53:26
Now, if you're logged in as a storefront
administrator, that will not be present

00:08:54:06 - 00:08:57:03
as you'll only be able to access
one particular storefront.

00:08:57:14 - 00:09:00:13
So that's your first viable check
to make sure you're at the platform

00:09:00:13 - 00:09:06:13
level, start off

00:09:06:13 - 00:09:09:02
by clicking on configuration
over on the left hand side

00:09:09:18 - 00:09:13:21
and then navigate
to storefront management.

00:09:13:21 - 00:09:16:15
This page allows us to add
new storefronts.

00:09:16:15 - 00:09:19:24
It will only be accessible when you're
logged in at the platform level

00:09:20:03 - 00:09:22:26
where you have administrative authority
over multiple

00:09:22:26 - 00:09:26:12
storefronts.

00:09:26:12 - 00:09:31:14
Click on the purchase icon and that will
show you a list of existing storefronts

00:09:31:26 - 00:09:35:00
as well as an entry for the platform
itself, which is necessary

00:09:40:06 - 00:09:43:02
over on the right
hand side, click on Add New Storefront.

00:09:43:16 - 00:09:46:26
Now this will present you
with a pop up for this form

00:09:46:26 - 00:09:50:17
allows for initial specification
of many critical elements

00:09:50:17 - 00:09:55:01
of your new storefront prior
to full initialization.

00:09:55:01 - 00:09:58:05
All of these options can be changed
at a later stage if required.

00:09:58:05 - 00:10:03:26
So don't worry if you don't have
the relevant information at this stage.

00:10:03:26 - 00:10:05:29
So going to start off
with a storefront name

00:10:15:05 - 00:10:17:01
and then going to choose an alias.

00:10:17:01 - 00:10:20:26
Now this is an extension to the platform

00:10:20:26 - 00:10:24:14
URL, which is used to access
this particular storefront.

00:10:25:02 - 00:10:28:00
So for example, if I go for

00:10:28:00 - 00:10:30:04
storefront rapid build guide three,

00:10:30:04 - 00:10:33:13
something like that,

00:10:33:13 - 00:10:37:08
let me get a notepad up
just to show you a comparison.

00:10:38:22 - 00:10:40:15
So in
this particular case, the storefront,

00:10:40:16 - 00:10:44:13
no, the platform URL
may be something like this.

00:10:45:04 - 00:10:48:12
However,
if the alias is set to this value here,

00:10:48:26 - 00:10:51:28
then access to the actual storefront
itself

00:10:52:23 - 00:10:54:23
would be using

00:10:57:23 - 00:10:58:02
this.

00:10:58:02 - 00:11:01:18
URL here,
so we've got the platform forward slash

00:11:01:25 - 00:11:09:20
and then the individual storefront.

00:11:09:20 - 00:11:13:03
We then got the storefront description
which is for reference purposes

00:11:19:08 - 00:11:21:18
and then we want to select
the storefront type.

00:11:22:20 - 00:11:24:22
Now here you can choose
whether your storefront

00:11:24:22 - 00:11:27:21
will be used for B2B or B2C purposes.

00:11:28:01 - 00:11:29:07
This choice will impact

00:11:29:07 - 00:11:33:07
some of the default settings
on your newly created storefront, ensuring

00:11:33:07 - 00:11:36:11
you are presented with an environment
that is best suited

00:11:36:19 - 00:11:40:14
to your application.

00:11:40:14 - 00:11:43:08
You can then modify colour selections
if you wish to do so,

00:11:43:16 - 00:11:47:15
so you're able to define
initial color selections from this form.

00:11:48:07 - 00:11:52:11
This consists of primary, secondary
background and text color,

00:11:52:25 - 00:11:55:27
and these will be utilized
to brand your storefront frontend.

00:11:57:06 - 00:11:58:11
So clicking on any of

00:11:58:11 - 00:12:01:05
those colours
there will bring up a separate pop up box.

00:12:02:07 - 00:12:04:22
You can input the color in RGB,

00:12:05:08 - 00:12:09:14
HSL or hex format,

00:12:09:14 - 00:12:18:18
and you've also got manual selections
available as well.

00:12:18:18 - 00:12:21:06
You've also got the ability to select
between fonts.

00:12:21:16 - 00:12:25:02
Additional fonts can be loaded
and selected at a later stage,

00:12:25:11 - 00:12:29:12
but now we can pick a font
from the existing list.

00:12:29:12 - 00:12:32:28
And finally here we just need to upload
a logo for use on our storefront.

00:12:32:28 - 00:12:35:08
Once that's all be completed,
click on okay.

00:12:35:19 - 00:12:39:28
And then the initialization process
will begin.

00:12:39:28 - 00:12:43:22
Now the initialization process shouldn't
take any longer than one or 2 minutes,

00:12:44:02 - 00:12:48:20
and you can check on its progress by going
to the very last entry in this list.

00:12:48:20 - 00:12:50:22
In my case, I've got multiple pages.

00:12:50:22 - 00:12:53:19
If you are just starting out with Infigo,
everything will likely

00:12:53:19 - 00:12:56:22
be on one page.

00:12:56:22 - 00:13:00:16
I can see there that I currently have
a status of initialization pending,

00:13:01:12 - 00:13:03:26
so we can click on this
refresh button periodically

00:13:05:11 - 00:13:06:07
to see

00:13:06:07 - 00:13:08:18
the updated status of that initialization

00:13:10:20 - 00:13:12:01
once fully initialised

00:13:12:01 - 00:13:14:16
the new storefront
will be placed into test mode.

00:13:15:05 - 00:13:17:28
Now this mode is designed to allow easy
clear

00:13:17:28 - 00:13:21:08
out of unnecessary data
once you're ready to go live.

00:13:22:09 - 00:13:25:08
Now, in a nutshell,
this is just about clearing test data

00:13:25:08 - 00:13:28:11
over on the right hand side,
there are separate tutorial resources

00:13:28:11 - 00:13:34:00
when you get to this stage.

00:13:34:00 - 00:13:36:12
So the next thing we need to do
is to actually activate

00:13:36:12 - 00:13:38:25
that particular storefront.

00:13:38:25 - 00:13:41:10
So we see it work at the top of the screen
at the moment

00:13:41:17 - 00:13:45:06
we can see
which storefront is currently initialized.

00:13:45:18 - 00:13:49:09
So if we start modifying
some storefront specific content

00:13:49:09 - 00:13:53:16
over on the left hand side, things
such as products, customers,

00:13:53:16 - 00:13:57:11
that kind of thing, they will be
added to this current storefront.

00:13:58:18 - 00:14:00:09
We need to
make sure that we switch to the new one,

00:14:00:09 - 00:14:02:26
so click on the switch storefronts icon

00:14:03:22 - 00:14:06:14
locate your new storefront.

00:14:06:14 - 00:14:10:03
These ones will be in alphabetical order

00:14:11:28 - 00:14:13:05
and then select

00:14:19:29 - 00:14:20:16
check before

00:14:20:16 - 00:14:23:25
you make any further changes
that the correct storefront is activated

00:14:24:15 - 00:14:30:10
on the current account section
at the top of the screen.

00:14:30:10 - 00:14:33:16
Okay, so our new Infigo
storefront has been created.

00:14:33:22 - 00:14:36:21
However, before logging
out of our platform level accounts,

00:14:36:27 - 00:14:39:27
we need to ensure that the storefront has

00:14:40:06 - 00:14:42:23
an associated storefront administrator.

00:14:43:16 - 00:14:45:26
So to begin, we navigate to our customer

00:14:45:26 - 00:14:50:03
management area.

00:14:50:03 - 00:14:53:27
The customer management area
contains details of all of the customers

00:14:53:27 - 00:14:57:28
or individual users
registered on a particular storefront.

00:14:58:17 - 00:15:01:03
Here you can also add new customers
and amends

00:15:01:03 - 00:15:04:04
the details
and permissions of existing customers.

00:15:05:27 - 00:15:08:05
So we're going to create a new storefront
administrator.

00:15:08:05 - 00:15:13:27
So click on Add New,

00:15:13:27 - 00:15:17:11
and then we're going
to input an email address and a password.

00:15:18:00 - 00:15:20:16
So this page contains a range of customer

00:15:20:16 - 00:15:23:07
related inputs such as name and address.

00:15:23:22 - 00:15:24:18
At this stage,

00:15:24:18 - 00:15:29:01
all that's required is an absolute
minimum is an email address and password.

00:15:29:17 - 00:15:31:13
So any of those details for the account

00:15:31:13 - 00:15:34:10
we wish to designate
as storefront administrator,

00:15:35:01 - 00:15:39:17
please do note that for an administrator
account, the password is required

00:15:39:17 - 00:15:54:20
to be a minimum of 20 characters
just for security purposes.

00:15:54:20 - 00:15:58:24
to be a minimum of 20 characters
just for security purposes.

00:15:58:24 - 00:16:01:10
Next quick to Customer Roles Tab.

00:16:02:20 - 00:16:05:26
Now customer roles
allow us to assign different permissions

00:16:05:26 - 00:16:07:20
to different customers.

00:16:07:20 - 00:16:11:02
A range of default customer roles exist,
providing a range

00:16:11:02 - 00:16:13:00
of different capabilities.

00:16:13:00 - 00:16:16:22
We also have the ability to create
new customer roles at a later date

00:16:17:02 - 00:16:21:14
to suit our specific requirements.

00:16:21:14 - 00:16:23:16
In this particular case,
we're just going to select

00:16:23:16 - 00:16:27:10
the storefront administrator role,
and the registered option

00:16:27:10 - 00:16:31:17
should also remain selected
for all active storefront customers.

00:16:31:17 - 00:16:35:17
That includes all of your administrators.

00:16:35:17 - 00:16:40:03
And then click on Save.

00:16:40:03 - 00:16:43:27
You'll see that our new customer
has been created and they've got two roles

00:16:43:27 - 00:16:47:00
assigned
storefront administrators and registered

00:16:48:01 - 00:16:49:07
now from this screen.

00:16:49:07 - 00:16:52:21
Whilst logged in as our platform
administrator, we have the ability

00:16:52:21 - 00:16:56:28
to impersonate any of the customers
on our active storefront,

00:16:57:05 - 00:17:00:05
and that includes, in this case,
our storefront administrator.

00:17:01:02 - 00:17:04:04
Impersonation is possible
for any user with a lower

00:17:04:04 - 00:17:06:20
standing than the current logged in user.

00:17:07:06 - 00:17:10:12
So at this stage, this means that platform
administrator accounts

00:17:10:12 - 00:17:12:14
can impersonate any user.

00:17:12:14 - 00:17:16:11
However, if you logged in as a storefront
administrator, then you can't

00:17:16:11 - 00:17:19:11
impersonate the platform administrator
as they have

00:17:19:11 - 00:17:21:11
a higher standing

00:17:22:14 - 00:17:25:01
impersonation will be useful in later
stages.

00:17:25:01 - 00:17:28:18
However, at the moment
we're going to ignore this and simply log

00:17:28:18 - 00:17:35:22
in as our newly created
storefront administrator.

00:17:35:22 - 00:17:38:14
So on the top right of the screen,
click on logout

00:17:40:05 - 00:17:43:00
and then we're going to log in
as that storefront administrator.

00:17:43:11 - 00:17:46:20
So firstly, we need to make sure
that we're going to the correct URL.

00:17:48:05 - 00:17:50:26
So that's the platform URL.

00:17:50:26 - 00:17:53:09
And then the alias that we define for

00:17:53:09 - 00:18:02:18
that particular storefront.

00:18:02:18 - 00:18:08:01
that particular storefront.

00:18:08:01 - 00:18:09:29
Now, you will immediately be directed

00:18:09:29 - 00:18:13:07
to the home page of your storefronts
frontend.

00:18:13:19 - 00:18:16:27
And this is a key early indicator
that you successfully logged in

00:18:16:27 - 00:18:21:11
to your storefront administrator account
rather than your platform administrator

00:18:21:28 - 00:18:26:09
platform administrators do not have direct
access to the storefront front end

00:18:26:18 - 00:18:28:18
unless impersonating another customer

00:18:31:03 - 00:18:32:24
on the top right of the screen.

00:18:32:24 - 00:18:35:27
If you're logged in as an administrator,
you will have

00:18:35:27 - 00:18:39:16
this admin button which will take you to
the Infigo admin area.

00:18:39:22 - 00:18:42:02
Similar to what you saw
when logged in previously.

00:18:42:21 - 00:18:46:07
Only relevant users with admin area
access will see this icon.

00:18:46:17 - 00:18:51:21
General storefront users will not see it.

00:18:51:21 - 00:18:55:14
Now, before you do any more,
you do want to check that

00:18:55:14 - 00:18:58:05
the current account information
at the top of the screen

00:18:58:18 - 00:19:00:23
is showing the required storefront.

00:19:01:16 - 00:19:04:27
In addition, when logged in
as the storefront administrator,

00:19:04:27 - 00:19:09:07
you will not see the Switch storefront
button, which was here previously.

00:19:09:07 - 00:19:12:19
As this user only has access
to this one individual

00:19:12:19 - 00:19:20:27
storefront.

Step by Step Guide

Your platform and storefront administrator accounts | SRBG_001

Welcome to the first tutorial in the Rapid Storefront Build Guide (RSBG) series.

This series of 8 tutorials will get you up to speed with the fundamentals of your Infigo platform in the minimum possible time.

We kick off with an important topic, knowing the difference between your Platform and Storefront administrator accounts.

What do these mean, exactly? And which one should you be using?

Creation Date: Aug 31, 2023
Created By: Sam Webster

1. Welcome to your new platform

By now, you will have received an email providing you with login credentials to your Infigo platform.

Haven't found it? Please check your junk folder.

If you still can't find it, please let us know.

Welcome to your new platform

2. Infigo Platform

Before we delve into Infigo itself, let's take a closer look at your platform, storefronts and how they work together.

Infigo Platform

3. Platform Level

To begin, your platform.

Your Platform is essentially your installation of Infigo. It's the top level area for the management of all the individual websites (or Storefronts), which sit on the platform itself.

The Platform level is accessed by logging in using your Platform Administrator credentials from the email you received.

You won't often have to access the Platform level, with most tasks being conducted from a Storefront level. The primary task undertaken on a platform level is the creation of new Storefronts, along with new Storefront Administrator user accounts associated with those storefronts.

There are various other tasks which are undertaken at Platform level, however these are not generally day-to-day usage. Our tutorial content will guide you when accessing the Platform level is necessary.

Platform Level

4. Storefront Overview

Storefronts are individual websites which sit within your Platform.

Your Infigo Storefronts are an e-commerce solution for businesses selling products or services through a hosted website.

Infigo Storefronts can be created targeting both B2B and B2C applications.

Individual Storefronts are created by initially logging in to your Platform using the Platform Administrator credentials from the email. Once a Storefront has been created, you can also create Storefront Administrators to oversee that particular Storefront.

It is ALWAYS recommended to perform the day-to-day development and management of your Storefronts whilst logged in as a Storefront Administrator. Primarily, this reduces the risk of human error for new users, as Storefront Administrators can only access the singular Storefront they were created on. This means no accidental alteration of other storefronts.

Platform Administrators, on the other hand, can modify ALL Storefronts on your Platform.

Your Infigo package will have been negotiated with a particular quantity of Storefronts. Should you need more in the future, contact your Infigo Customer Success Manager who would be happy to initiate the process.

Storefront Overview

5. Developing your Storefront

Accessing the Infigo system at Storefront level is the recommended approach, as mentioned previously.

Storefronts facilitate the creation and management of virtually every aspect of your site. This includes:

  • Product management

  • Customer management

  • Storefront visual appearance and design

  • Shipping / Delivery capabilities

  • Payment options

  • Pricing

  • And much more...

Developing your Storefront

6. Your Demo Storefront

Infigo provide you with an additional Storefront, free of charge. This Storefront is included to allow you to get the very best out of our software.

We highly recommend that you utilise this additional Storefront as a learning, development and testing area. But ultimately, the choice is yours.

We suggest using this Storefront to evaluate changes in a safe environment before deploying them to your main Storefronts.

Many users also utilise this additional Storefront as a form of shop window. By taking great care of this site, it can be utilised to show your capabilities to potential clients, with devastating effect.

Your Demo Storefront

7. Storefront Applications

As previously mentioned, Storefronts can be targeted at both B2B and B2C applications.

Whilst the initial setup between these is virtually identical, the development of your site will be dictated by the method in which your customers will be interacting with it.

Let's briefly investigate the B2C and B2B options available to us with our Infigo Storefronts.

Storefront Applications

8. B2C

These types of Infigo Storefront are public facing websites, used to purchase a range of prouct types, (including web-to-print type products).

Products can be static or customisable. This is the difference between providing an off-the-shelf mug or artwork print, and providing a full customisation experience where users can design their own product.

An Infigo B2C Storefront has virtually limitless applications.

B2C

9. B2B | Individual Storefronts

B2B Storefronts can be categorised in one of two ways, the first being as individual Storefronts.

These are Storefronts which would generally be created for one specific, high value customer.

This Storefront would include custom branding to that singular customer and contain only their catalogue of products. In addition, it can include a custom URL, bespoke to them.

B2B | Individual Storefronts

10. B2B | Shared Storefronts

The second type of B2B Storefront can be categorised as shared Storefronts.

These are ideal for multiple, lower value customers, where each account only has access to view and purchase the products directly associated with them.

Generally these would contain generic branding, although Infigo do offer a module called Chameleon, which allows you to change the branding, look and feel of a Storefront based on the user logged in.

These types of Storefront are often preferred as:

  • They provide quicker setup for large number of smaller customers

  • Maintenance is simplified as everything is contained within one Storefront.

B2B | Shared Storefronts

11. Storefront structure example

Here, we see an example of a Storefront structure, showing how both products and customers can be categorised and sorted.

The different elements of this structure are covered in greater detail in later tutorials.

Type a Storefront name

19. Choose an alias

This is the extension to the Platform URL used to access this particular storefront.

For example, the platform URL may be: https://training.infigosoftware.com. If the alias is set to SRBG, then the URL to access this new Storefront would be:

https://training.infigosoftware.com/SRBG

32. Navigate to Customer Management

Our new Infigo Storefront has been created, however before logging out of our Platform level account, we need to ensure this Storefront has a Storefront Administrator associated with it.

To begin, navigate to the Customer Management area.

The easiest way to find pages within the Infigo admin area is to use the search functionality of the left side menu.

The Customer Management area contains details on all of the Customers (individual users) registered on a particular Storefront. Here, you can also add new customers and amend the details and permissions of existing customers.

Navigate to Customer Management

33. Click on Add new

Click on Add new

34. Input an email address and password

This page contains a range of customer related inputs such as name and address.

At this stage, all that is required at minimum is an email address and password.

Enter the details for the account you wish to designate as Storefront Administrator.

Note, for an administrator account, the password is required to be a minimum of 20 characters.

Input an email address and password

35. Click on Customer Roles

Customer Roles allow us to assign different permissions to different Customers.

A range of default Customer Roles exist, providing a range of different capabilities. We also have the ability to create new Customer Roles at a later date, to suit our specific requirements.

Click on Customer Roles

36. Check Storefront Administrators

Check the Storefront Administrators checkbox.

The Registered option should also remain selected for all active Storefront customers.

Check Storefront Administrators

37. Click on Save

Click on Save

38. Impersonation

From this screen, we have the ability to Impersonate any of the customers on our active Storefront.

Impersonation is possible of any user with a lower standing than the current login.

At this stage, this means that Platform Administrator accounts can impersonate any user. However, if you are logged in as a Storefront Administrator then you cannot impersonate the Platform Administrator, as they have a higher standing.

Impersonation will be useful in later stages, however for the moment we will ignore this and instead simply log in as our newly created Storefront Administrator.

Impersonation

39. Click on Logout?

Click on Logout?

40. Log in as the Storefront Administrator

Firstly and importantly, navigate to the specific Storefront URL using your chosen alias.

For example: "https://myplatform.infigosoftware.com/mystorefront"

Enter the email and password of your Storefront Administrator

Log in as the Storefront Administrator

41. Click on Login

Click on Login

42. You will be taken to the Storefront front-end

You will be taken directly to the homepage of your Storefront front-end.

This is a key, early indicator that you have successfully logged in to your Storefront Administrator account rather than your Platform Administrator.

Platform Administrators do not have direct access to the Storefront front-end unless impersonating another customer.

You will be taken to the Storefront front-end

43. Click on Admin

This will take you to the Infigo admin area.

Only relevant users with admin area access will see this icon. General storefront users will not see this.

Click on Admin

44. Check the top right

Check that the "Current Account" information is showing the required Storefront.

In addition, when logged in as a Storefront Administrator you will NOT see the "Switch Storefront" button, as this user only has access to this one Storefront.

Check the top right
