00:00:05:15 - 00:00:06:26
In this tutorial, we'll take a look

00:00:06:26 - 00:00:11:10
at how to create discounts for use
by your customers on your storefronts.

00:00:11:12 - 00:00:15:04
In this specific example,
we'll create a voucher code where,

00:00:15:05 - 00:00:19:09
if applied by a customer in the basket
or during the checkout process,

00:00:19:12 - 00:00:26:09
it will give them a £5
off the order total.

00:00:26:11 - 00:00:27:04
So begin

00:00:27:04 - 00:00:31:24
by navigating to the discount section
of your Infigo admin area

00:00:31:26 - 00:00:34:14
and then to create a new discount,
click add new

00:00:34:14 - 00:00:38:04
on the top right.

00:00:38:07 - 00:00:39:28
Enter a name for your discounts.

00:00:39:28 - 00:00:43:00
This is for reference only
and will not be shown to the customer.

00:00:43:00 - 00:00:47:10
Next, we need to select a discount type.

00:00:47:13 - 00:00:50:13
Now discounts can be applied
in numerous different ways

00:00:50:18 - 00:00:54:00
which can be selected from the discount
type dropdown.

00:00:54:03 - 00:00:59:00
Some examples include assigning discounts
to order total subtitles.

00:00:59:02 - 00:01:02:28
Assigning discounts directly to product
groups or product variants

00:01:03:01 - 00:01:05:19
and assigning discounts on delivery.

00:01:05:19 - 00:01:09:27
In this example, will choose the option
to apply this discount to the order total

00:01:10:00 - 00:01:12:21
Discounts can be applied either
a monetary value

00:01:12:21 - 00:01:16:03
or as a percentage of the price
covered by that discount.

00:01:16:05 - 00:01:20:06
In this example, we'll put a £5 discount

00:01:20:08 - 00:01:22:24
based on our discount type selection.

00:01:22:24 - 00:01:25:24
This will be applied to the entire order
total.

00:01:26:01 - 00:01:29:21
This will, of course,
use your default storefront currency.

00:01:29:24 - 00:01:32:24
So I'm just going to leave
use percentage turned off.

00:01:32:29 - 00:01:36:11
That leaves us
with a defined monetary value

00:01:36:13 - 00:01:41:25
that can just put £5 in there.

00:01:41:27 - 00:01:42:12
Now what we can

00:01:42:12 - 00:01:45:12
also do
is specify dates for this discount.

00:01:45:17 - 00:01:48:25
This is an optional step,
but you can apply a date

00:01:48:25 - 00:01:52:20
and time range
between which this discount is applicable.

00:01:52:22 - 00:01:56:19
If anyone tries to use the discount
outside of outside of those dates,

00:01:56:21 - 00:01:58:17
it will fail.

00:01:58:17 - 00:02:03:13
So for example, if I had a date,
which is in the past for the start,

00:02:03:15 - 00:02:06:25
in the future, for the end,

00:02:06:28 - 00:02:08:25
my discount will be applicable

00:02:08:25 - 00:02:13:02
within those dates.

00:02:13:04 - 00:02:16:26
Now, in this example
we are going to utilize a coupon code.

00:02:16:28 - 00:02:20:12
This is another optional step
so you don't need it.

00:02:20:14 - 00:02:24:19
We have the ability to define
this discount as requiring a coupon code.

00:02:24:22 - 00:02:30:01
This is a code which the customer enters
at the basket or the checkout stages.

00:02:30:02 - 00:02:30:17
Optional.

00:02:30:17 - 00:02:37:23
We can also specify how many times
this code can be used, either as a total.

00:02:37:26 - 00:02:40:18
So amongst all of the customers
on your storefront,

00:02:40:18 - 00:02:47:12
or you can specify it on a per user basis.

00:02:47:15 - 00:02:48:16
Again, that's optional though.

00:02:48:16 - 00:02:51:29
So what we've got as a limited
on this example, then I'll click

00:02:51:29 - 00:02:53:03
Save and continue.

00:02:53:03 - 00:02:57:27
Edit.

00:02:58:00 - 00:02:58:12
Now, going

00:02:58:12 - 00:03:02:08
across to the requirement tab,
we can apply additional requirements

00:03:02:08 - 00:03:07:11
to this discount, giving us granular
control over when this will be applied.

00:03:07:13 - 00:03:09:13
This again is an optional step.

00:03:09:13 - 00:03:13:06
In this example, we will not apply
any additional requirements.

00:03:13:13 - 00:03:23:02
So any customer that applies
the coupon code will receive the discount.

00:03:23:04 - 00:03:25:09
Just to make sure that saved.

00:03:25:09 - 00:03:30:22
And the next thing we're going to do
is navigate to my basket settings.

00:03:30:25 - 00:03:32:27
But by default, the box in which

00:03:32:27 - 00:03:38:21
to enter a coupon code in the basket
and the checkout screens are not enabled.

00:03:38:24 - 00:03:42:03
This can be enabled
with two basic settings changes.

00:03:42:06 - 00:03:52:01
We're going to begin
by navigating to the basket settings,

00:03:52:03 - 00:03:53:09
locate the show

00:03:53:09 - 00:03:56:09
discount box entry
within the basket settings

00:03:56:14 - 00:04:01:07
and make sure that that is selected.

00:04:01:10 - 00:04:02:27
This will display the coupon code

00:04:02:27 - 00:04:07:05
box in the basket screen
or the cart screen

00:04:07:07 - 00:04:10:02
to make sure that saved.

00:04:10:02 - 00:04:19:08
Next,
we're going to navigate to order settings.

00:04:19:11 - 00:04:22:29
We want to locate a setting in here
which is show discount code

00:04:22:29 - 00:04:27:17
input at checkout.

00:04:27:19 - 00:04:30:08
So this option here,
make sure that's checked.

00:04:30:08 - 00:04:34:25
This enables the coupon code input box
or the checkout pages.

00:04:34:27 - 00:04:38:16
Now, those are two individual settings
just to make absolutely clear.

00:04:38:19 - 00:04:41:26
One control
showing it on basket, step one controls it

00:04:41:26 - 00:04:46:01
within the checkout steps.

00:04:46:04 - 00:04:47:22
And then again,
make sure that you click save

00:04:47:22 - 00:04:52:04
what's that's activated

00:04:52:07 - 00:04:55:11
and so we'll now navigate
to the front end of our storefront

00:04:55:11 - 00:04:56:20
and we'll see this in action.

00:04:56:20 - 00:05:00:22
So I've added items to my basket
and navigated to the actual basket page

00:05:00:22 - 00:05:01:20
itself.

00:05:01:20 - 00:05:04:15
What you can see up on the top right there
is that we have our box

00:05:04:15 - 00:05:09:05
now available to enter our discount code
and then apply that coupon

00:05:09:07 - 00:05:18:26
to that in here.

00:05:18:29 - 00:05:21:04
Click on apply

00:05:21:04 - 00:05:24:04
and then it will, if applicable,
it will apply that to our basket.

00:05:24:09 - 00:05:34:00
If it's not an applicable code,
it will give us a relevant message

00:05:34:02 - 00:05:36:05
that we can proceed
through the checkout process.

00:05:36:05 - 00:05:37:08
As we would know we would.

00:05:37:08 - 00:05:39:17
We can see actually on the checkout pages.

00:05:39:17 - 00:05:42:06
So the order confirmation, again,
we have an area

00:05:42:06 - 00:05:45:14
where we can apply a discount code
if we haven't already done so.

00:05:45:17 - 00:05:48:00
We can see that it is registering
the discount code.

00:05:48:00 - 00:05:52:17
We've already applied.

00:05:52:20 - 00:05:55:10
So I'm not going to just submit

00:05:55:10 - 00:05:58:12
that order
and then go back to my admin area.

00:05:58:12 - 00:06:03:13
So what I've done here
is returned to my actual discount screen

00:06:03:16 - 00:06:05:27
when I edit on that one
that we've just created

00:06:05:27 - 00:06:10:00
and then go to the third tab along,
which is the usage history.

00:06:10:03 - 00:06:13:20
So for certain discounts, this doesn't
apply to all of the ones you create.

00:06:13:22 - 00:06:17:01
You are able to view a usage history
and see a breakdown

00:06:17:08 - 00:06:25:25
of when
and by whom this discount was utilized.

00:06:25:27 - 00:06:26:09
You can see

00:06:26:09 - 00:06:29:17
additional details of each usage
by clicking on the view

00:06:29:17 - 00:06:32:17
button, which is on the left hand
side of each of those routes.

00:06:32:23 - 00:06:37:02
This will take you to the specific order
page where that discount was utilized.
