Infigo supports the use of Enfocus Pitstop Profiles (.PPP) to be used against customer media upload items. These profile work across several product types currently - Multipart Upload, MegaEdit (Editor and Upload UI). Please see helpdesk for links on creating those products individually.
The profiles are there to help alert the end user to any potential issues that their images may have before they are processed and sent to production. This can help to ensure customers are submitting good print quality images so job turnarounds and workflows can progress smoothly online.
Please note: THIS IS A PAID FOR MODULE - please raise a ticket if you would like info on pricing for this feature.
Infigo allows the configuration of a range of PDF profiles. The configuration can be found under:
Configuration > Resources > PDF Profile Setup
If you cannot access this page, please contact our Customer Support team who can enable it for you.
A new PDF profile can be added by clicking the “Add new record” button.
Once created click on edit under Edit profile data. These settings should be enabled with care, as they are important for a correct workflow.
The profile file is generated with the Pitstop Acrobat plugin and allows the configuration of tests on the current PDF file. Those tests have a wide scope, from page count or dimensions to colour space and font information.
Each test can be configured to act as a warning or error. Warnings will inform the user but not prevent the file from being used, whilst errors will completely prevent file usage until the issues are resolved.
In addition to a user manually resolving issues, automatic fixes can be implemented in Pitstop which will address warnings or errors. An example would be changing the size of the pages or converting the colour space.
Enfocus have manuals available covering these capabilities, which can be accessed here:
https://www.enfocus.com/en/support/manuals/pitstop-pro-manuals
This type of profile is used if you want to run various forms of verification against an uploaded file.
As the name suggests, this profile will provide fixes to the file uploaded by the user.
Note that whilst Check and Fix profiles can be used independently, they can also by used together, undertaking the check functionality then providing the user with the choice as to whether to implement the automatic fixes.
This profile is optional. When set, we will apply the profile after the output has been generated.
The purpose of this profile to make changes to the PDF after output generation - which is applied to the entire document, not just PDF files the user uploads.
It should be also used when time consuming tasks like colour conversion aren’t required to be shown to the user.
When creating a PDF report, the user will be able to download a PDF report which contains the findings of the profile. This includes the warnings, errors and fixes, but also additional details about the file.
When no report template is configured, we will create a standard report - which is Infigo branded. By uploading a report template file, the report can be adjusted in many ways. From the general look and feel (report vs annotated style) to the information the report provides as well as the styling and branding - all can be controlled by generating a custom report template.

Additional content will be available in the Infigo Academy covering this topic.
This feature enables dynamic PDF preflight checks with customizable inputs. By utilizing variable sets in PitStop Pro that are mapped to your product attributes in Infigo via a Job Ticket XML file, you can tailor preflight profiles to meet specific job requirements. This setup allows you to adjust parameters like page dimensions based on user input or product specifications, enhancing automation and streamlining your PDF preflight process for increased efficiency and flexibility.
Unlike previously discussed settings, these options are configured on the main PDF Profile list page, and are modified for each profile using the “Edit” button. Their purpose is to control the usage of those profile configurations within Infigo.
When set, we will generate a PDF report and present to the user for download. The report generated will be either the standard report template or can be customized via the report template setting.
The user will see a report for a successful upload, a failed upload (when the report rejected it, so it contains errors and "Create XML Report" is enabled,) or when we fixed a previously failed upload.
Creates both the PDF report detailed above, plus an additional XML report.
When set, an XML summary will be passed to Infigo containing all warnings, errors and fixes. This summary is displayed to the user in the same locations as a PDF report can be downloaded.
When errors are detected, the upload will fail and would not be used. Note that this setting has to be true to have profile rejects available, as otherwise the system would not know there are errors in the PDF.
When set, we will replace the upload with the PDF profile output once profiling has finished. That is required in case the profile does anything other than simple tests, as otherwise all changes would be lost.
For performance reasons, this switch should be disabled when not needed.
