MegaEdit Canvas | ID:ME_002

One of the key components on MegaEdit is the Canvas. In MegaEdit, the canvas represents the dimension of the product. In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a canvas within our storefront configuration and how to assign it to our MegaEdit product. A canvas can be set as a fixed size, or can have dynamic sizing controllable by the customer. This tutorial will show where to set up the dynamic sizing option.

00:00:14:21 - 00:00:16:15
One of the key components

00:00:16:15 - 00:00:19:13
on a MegaEdit product is the canvas.

00:00:20:00 - 00:00:24:11
So in the design world, canvas
is represented the dimension of product.

00:00:24:28 - 00:00:28:22
In this tutorial, we're going to learn
how to create a canvas within our store

00:00:28:22 - 00:00:33:03
from configuration and how to assign it
to our MegaEdit product.

00:00:34:16 - 00:00:37:06
So a canvas can be a fixed size,

00:00:37:06 - 00:00:40:14
or it can have a dynamic sizing
controllable by the customer.

00:00:41:00 - 00:00:44:26
This tutorial will show
where to set up the dynamic

00:00:44:26 - 00:00:47:16
sizing option.

00:00:49:29 - 00:00:50:22
So what we need to do,

00:00:50:22 - 00:00:54:21
first of all, is to look at
how to manage our.

00:00:54:21 - 00:00:56:19
MegaEdit resources.

00:00:56:19 - 00:01:01:16
So a MegaEdit products page
contains a dropdown list on the top right

00:01:02:03 - 00:01:04:22
which allows direct access

00:01:04:22 - 00:01:08:02
to MegaEdit resources
specified on your storefront.

00:01:08:26 - 00:01:09:18
So we can access.

00:01:09:18 - 00:01:11:20
This by going to our catalog

00:01:12:20 - 00:01:15:01
product types and MegaEdit.

00:01:16:13 - 00:01:20:16
And then we'll start off
on the MegaEdit products.

00:01:21:05 - 00:01:24:03
So this is the list
I was talking about on the top, right?

00:01:24:03 - 00:01:26:05
So we. Can get to the.
Different resources.

00:01:26:05 - 00:01:28:25
You can also get to the same series.

00:01:28:25 - 00:01:34:08
Of resources in that same list
to do with your MegaEdit product types.

00:01:34:24 - 00:01:37:15
So these elements here are exactly

00:01:37:15 - 00:01:39:27
the same as the quick access elements
here.

00:01:40:26 - 00:01:43:07
It's just a different way
for you to access

00:01:43:07 - 00:01:46:01
the same information.

00:01:49:01 - 00:01:49:29
So we're going to start off

00:01:49:29 - 00:01:52:14
by going to the canvas options.

00:01:54:01 - 00:01:56:00
And then at the moment, all. We have is a.

00:01:56:00 - 00:01:57:05
Sample canvas that was.

00:01:57:05 - 00:01:59:17
Created in a previous tutorial

00:01:59:17 - 00:02:03:13
just to make sure that our product
was ready to go.

00:02:04:18 - 00:02:07:15
So any canvas specification
already defined on

00:02:07:15 - 00:02:09:11
your storefront is going to be shown here.

00:02:10:22 - 00:02:14:02
So what we need
to remember is that we can create canvases

00:02:14:07 - 00:02:16:20
and those are not going to be product
specific.

00:02:17:01 - 00:02:18:09
You can create a canvas.

00:02:18:09 - 00:02:19:15
And then utilize that on.

00:02:19:15 - 00:02:22:02
Multiple products.

00:02:22:02 - 00:02:24:03
So you create the canvas apart,

00:02:24:03 - 00:02:26:17
separate from the products,
and then assign them.

00:02:26:24 - 00:02:28:20
To your products that require those.

00:02:28:20 - 00:02:31:19
Particular canvases.

00:02:34:01 - 00:02:34:24
So what we're going to make

00:02:34:24 - 00:02:38:13
first is just a really simple static.

00:02:38:24 - 00:02:40:28
Size. Canvas.

00:02:40:28 - 00:02:43:20
So if we go to add new on top right corner

00:02:45:07 - 00:02:46:23
and there's a few basic bits of.

00:02:46:23 - 00:02:49:10
Information here that we need.

00:02:49:25 - 00:02:52:12
The first bit is a canvas name,
so this is just a name that.

00:02:52:12 - 00:02:53:27
Will appear throughout.

00:02:53:27 - 00:02:56:20
Infigo in association
with this particular canvas.

00:02:57:06 - 00:03:00:13
So say we'll make an A4 portrait canvas

00:03:00:14 - 00:03:03:13
as an example here.

00:03:06:29 - 00:03:09:11
And then
in the case of defining the canvas size.

00:03:09:27 - 00:03:11:03
So if you come further down.

00:03:11:03 - 00:03:13:14
You'll see that you have a direct
entry of width.

00:03:13:14 - 00:03:16:06
And height if necessary.

00:03:16:06 - 00:03:19:26
Alternatively, you can select some from
some preconfigured.

00:03:19:26 - 00:03:22:08
Dimensions in this dropdown list here.

00:03:22:08 - 00:03:24:13
So this is your. Standard

00:03:24:16 - 00:03:27:05
a. Sizes in both portrait and.

00:03:27:05 - 00:03:28:11
Landscape.

00:03:28:20 - 00:03:31:06
So if we pick A4 portrait, for example,

00:03:32:09 - 00:03:34:16
and click on set, you can see

00:03:34:16 - 00:03:37:17
that those sizes are altered

00:03:38:12 - 00:03:41:16
based on those selections.

00:03:44:23 - 00:03:47:00
And then going to click on Save.

00:03:47:00 - 00:03:50:22
And that canvas is now specified.

00:03:52:09 - 00:03:53:03
So we'll take a look

00:03:53:03 - 00:03:56:17
at how that actually appears
on our particular product.

00:03:57:04 - 00:04:00:17
So what I want to do first is to make sure
that this canvas that we've just.

00:04:00:17 - 00:04:03:14
Created is now available on our product.

00:04:04:27 - 00:04:07:27
So I can do this by going to our MegaEdit products.

00:04:07:28 - 00:04:11:23
Section, which is also available
in this Resource Links dropdown.

00:04:12:15 - 00:04:14:01
And when you open that up in a. Separate.

00:04:14:01 - 00:04:19:19
Tab. Locate my MegaEdit product.

00:04:19:19 - 00:04:22:26
And go to edit on the right. Hand side.

00:04:23:02 - 00:04:25:03
And then we'll go into the canvas tab.

00:04:25:04 - 00:04:26:11
So this is where you specify.

00:04:26:11 - 00:04:28:19
The canvas or canvas’

00:04:28:27 - 00:04:33:03
That can be utilized
by this particular product.

00:04:33:11 - 00:04:33:28
You'll see that I.

00:04:33:28 - 00:04:36:27
Already have my sample canvas selected,
so I could.

00:04:37:01 - 00:04:39:01
Select that if I wish. To do so.

00:04:39:01 - 00:04:40:07
If I want to allow.

00:04:40:07 - 00:04:45:02
This A4 portrait as an additional option,
then I can select this one as well

00:04:45:17 - 00:04:52:09
and hit save changes.

00:04:52:09 - 00:04:55:05
And then when I go to my.
MegaEdit product. Landing page.

00:04:55:05 - 00:04:56:14
So I. Already have this open on a.

00:04:56:14 - 00:04:58:07
Separate screen, so I'll just refresh it.

00:04:59:16 - 00:05:02:11
What you'll find is if I have one canvas.

00:05:02:11 - 00:05:05:00
Available.
Just one single canvas, then this.

00:05:05:00 - 00:05:07:06
Dropdown won't be available
because. There's no.

00:05:07:06 - 00:05:09:15
Variation in canvas is required.

00:05:09:15 - 00:05:11:18
So all you would do is hit start.

00:05:11:18 - 00:05:12:09
However, in.

00:05:12:09 - 00:05:14:13
Our case,
we have multiple canvases available.

00:05:15:02 - 00:05:17:25
So I have the ability to choose
between those canvas options

00:05:18:05 - 00:05:22:09
before I launch the MegaEdit editor.

00:05:27:19 - 00:05:29:10
Next, we're going to specify a canvas

00:05:29:10 - 00:05:32:28
which allows for dynamic sizing
by the storefront customer.

00:05:33:15 - 00:05:35:19
So we'll begin by creating a canvas using.

00:05:35:19 - 00:05:37:28
The same steps as we. Saw previously.

00:05:37:28 - 00:05:40:19
So we'll just go for add new

00:05:41:07 - 00:05:42:24
and then write in the name of a canvas.

00:05:42:24 - 00:05:49:25
So I might just put dynamic canvas.

00:05:49:25 - 00:05:52:12
The preconfigured dimension
is not critical here,

00:05:52:12 - 00:05:54:03
so I'm just going to leave that.

00:05:54:03 - 00:05:56:14
As it is by default and click on Save.

00:06:02:09 - 00:06:04:21
And then going to locate the canvas
that we just created.

00:06:05:03 - 00:06:09:21
And click on edit
underneath that canvas option.

00:06:12:28 - 00:06:15:00
Now there's a few tabs available here

00:06:15:00 - 00:06:17:04
or we're going to worry about in
this tutorial.

00:06:17:04 - 00:06:19:19
Is the canvas. Properties.

00:06:19:19 - 00:06:21:10
And you can see that the vast majority.

00:06:21:10 - 00:06:25:09
Of the canvas properties
here are to do with the dynamic size.

00:06:27:04 - 00:06:28:14
So all we need to do. To.

00:06:28:14 - 00:06:31:11
Allow the customer. To choose a well, the.

00:06:31:19 - 00:06:35:29
Size of canvas is to specify minimum
and maximum for the width and the height.

00:06:36:14 - 00:06:37:28
And then the.

00:06:37:28 - 00:06:39:29
Width and height. Step.

00:06:39:29 - 00:06:42:10
So the. Intervals between the different.

00:06:43:00 - 00:06:45:04
Steps between the minimum and maximum.

00:06:46:15 - 00:06:47:13
So let's make something.

00:06:47:13 - 00:06:48:28
Quite generic here.

00:06:48:28 - 00:06:53:06
Let's say minimum, 100, maximum
a thousand.

00:06:53:27 - 00:06:54:14
Same with the.

00:06:54:14 - 00:06:58:24
Height.

00:06:58:24 - 00:07:00:27
You can specify your unit.

00:07:01:00 - 00:07:03:03
So you don't have to use. Mm.

00:07:03:03 - 00:07:04:10
And then when you're actually.

00:07:04:10 - 00:07:06:25
Specifying the canvas size on the product.

00:07:06:25 - 00:07:10:25
Landing page, it will convert between
the units that you specified.

00:07:11:02 - 00:07:14:20
I'll show you that in a moment.

00:07:14:20 - 00:07:16:20
Then I've got width step and height step.

00:07:17:13 - 00:07:19:28
So maybe I'll go for 100 millimeters.

00:07:19:28 - 00:07:22:09
In my. Case.

00:07:23:09 - 00:07:23:29
I also have the

00:07:23:29 - 00:07:26:20
option here for the same size
for all pages.

00:07:27:01 - 00:07:29:09
So if you do want to allow
different sizes.

00:07:29:09 - 00:07:33:02
For each individual page
that you add, you can deselect

00:07:33:02 - 00:07:35:15
that option.

00:07:37:18 - 00:07:40:00
So with those options
specified, I'm going to hit save.

00:07:41:26 - 00:07:43:18
And then again, we'll have a look at how.

00:07:43:18 - 00:07:46:21
That appears. On. Our MegaEdit product.

00:07:47:06 - 00:07:48:10
So first, I need to go to.

00:07:48:10 - 00:07:51:12
The product specifications.

00:07:51:15 - 00:07:54:17
So from the dropdown list, right
click on products and.

00:07:54:17 - 00:07:57:17
Open a new tab
just so we can keep this canvas screen

00:07:57:17 - 00:08:01:07
open.

00:08:01:07 - 00:08:04:18
And it's our MegaEdit product.

00:08:04:23 - 00:08:08:13
Go to canvases
and then select our dynamic canvas.

00:08:09:09 - 00:08:10:26
Now, if you are allowing the customer.

00:08:10:26 - 00:08:14:25
To choose their own canvases
based on what we've just discussed.

00:08:15:14 - 00:08:16:16
You can't have any.

00:08:16:16 - 00:08:18:25
Additional canvas specifications.

00:08:18:25 - 00:08:20:29
So I'm just going to uncheck
those other two.

00:08:21:11 - 00:08:27:04
So my dynamic canvas
is the only option available.

00:08:27:04 - 00:08:31:15
I'll click Save Changes and then again
I'm going to reload the product

00:08:31:15 - 00:08:36:14
landing page.

00:08:36:14 - 00:08:40:20
And what you'll see there is that
my dropdown list of distinct canvas.

00:08:40:20 - 00:08:44:17
Choices has now been replaced by sliders
and direct

00:08:44:17 - 00:08:48:12
inputs of the canvas size.

00:08:49:00 - 00:08:50:11
So I have a direct choice of those.

00:08:50:11 - 00:08:54:09
It will recalculate the cost
if we specified it based on these changes.

00:08:55:17 - 00:08:56:05
And if you want to.

00:08:56:05 - 00:09:00:10
Work in a different unit system.

00:09:00:10 - 00:09:10:27
You can see that
the scales update accordingly.

00:09:14:02 - 00:09:14:16
And then once

00:09:14:16 - 00:09:17:12
we have the canvas size specified,
we can hit start

00:09:17:24 - 00:09:21:09
and that will load the MegaEdit editor
with that canvas size.

00:09:21:21 - 00:09:23:25
We can then change the canvas size from.

00:09:23:25 - 00:09:25:04
Within the editor itself.

00:09:25:04 - 00:09:27:27
We're not just stuck
with that particular canvases.

00:09:27:27 - 00:09:32:01
Then this is just a starting point.

00:09:32:01 - 00:09:34:10
Okay, so the next step here is going to be

00:09:34:10 - 00:09:38:14
to generate a canvas
with several size options.

00:09:40:09 - 00:09:43:10
So to start off with, we're going
to repeat the process, same as before.

00:09:43:10 - 00:09:45:20
So we're just going to go to our canvas
screen.

00:09:46:25 - 00:09:47:10
Remember, the.

00:09:47:10 - 00:09:49:14
Easiest way to get to
this is the dropdown.

00:09:49:14 - 00:09:51:02
List on the top, right?

00:09:51:02 - 00:09:54:02
Or you can navigate to catalog product
types.

00:09:54:13 - 00:09:59:06
MegaEdit and then MegaEdit canvas.

00:09:59:06 - 00:10:01:09
I'm going to add a new canvas option

00:10:03:19 - 00:10:04:12
and then give this the

00:10:04:12 - 00:10:07:06
name of multi size canvas.

00:10:07:16 - 00:10:08:23
So this is just for reference.

00:10:08:23 - 00:10:10:09
You don't have to give it
a particular name.

00:10:10:09 - 00:10:12:22
Of course.

00:10:16:19 - 00:10:19:10
So although we're specifying
different canvas sizes,

00:10:19:21 - 00:10:20:16
we're not going to be able to.

00:10:20:16 - 00:10:23:03
Alter the aspect ratio.

00:10:23:03 - 00:10:25:20
So ensure
that your initial specifications.

00:10:25:24 - 00:10:27:17
So down here.

00:10:27:17 - 00:10:29:23
Match the ratio of your final canvas

00:10:29:23 - 00:10:31:25
requirements.

00:10:35:26 - 00:10:37:25
So for example,

00:10:38:03 - 00:10:41:16
if I want a particular photo book
or a particular.

00:10:42:01 - 00:10:43:16
A size of.

00:10:43:16 - 00:10:44:13
Stock

00:10:47:03 - 00:10:49:05
or particular a size of canvas.

00:10:49:24 - 00:10:52:10
And I can click on that required option

00:10:52:21 - 00:10:55:20
and then hit set to define that dimension
here.

00:10:57:05 - 00:10:57:24
So let's go with the.

00:10:57:24 - 00:10:58:28
Photo book, for example.

00:10:58:28 - 00:11:02:03
12 by 12. Centimeters.

00:11:02:07 - 00:11:03:13
Any change I make?

00:11:03:13 - 00:11:05:21
So any additional canvas that. We specify.

00:11:06:05 - 00:11:07:08
Is only going to be

00:11:08:12 - 00:11:09:09
a scaling.

00:11:09:09 - 00:11:12:10
Factor of this particular canvas,

00:11:12:10 - 00:11:15:13
so we won't be able to completely alter
the aspect ratio using this.

00:11:15:13 - 00:11:17:16
Method.

00:11:18:16 - 00:11:20:08
So I'll hit save

00:11:20:21 - 00:11:21:22
and then I'm going to go in and.

00:11:21:22 - 00:11:24:01
Edit that canvas that we just created

00:11:25:10 - 00:11:27:29
and scroll across to the canvas Sizes tab.

00:11:36:16 - 00:11:37:21
So we can add multiple

00:11:37:21 - 00:11:40:29
canvas size records to a single canvas
specification.

00:11:41:13 - 00:11:45:22
Each record equates to a different canvas
size selection,

00:11:45:22 - 00:11:47:07
and we do this just by adding a new.

00:11:47:07 - 00:11:50:06
Record, which will add new entries
to this list down here.

00:11:51:18 - 00:11:53:07
So you'll see
we've already got one in there, which.

00:11:53:07 - 00:11:55:06
Is default.

00:11:55:06 - 00:11:56:09
Which is our. Initial size.

00:11:56:09 - 00:11:57:29
That we specified.

00:11:58:07 - 00:12:00:24
I could say. Add new record,

00:12:00:24 - 00:12:02:22
which will give me a new line here.

00:12:02:22 - 00:12:05:21
So we're going to
fill in the required data for this record.

00:12:05:27 - 00:12:07:04
So we'll come back to the size.

00:12:07:04 - 00:12:10:10
Factor fields. Shortly.

00:12:10:10 - 00:12:12:03
So we also need to remember to complete

00:12:12:03 - 00:12:16:11
all of the factor fields,
allowing you to modify product elements

00:12:16:11 - 00:12:20:09
such as price or weight
based on the selection of this canvas.

00:12:21:02 - 00:12:24:01
So MegaEdit allows you to assign
a price factor

00:12:25:00 - 00:12:27:18
to your canvas, allowing you to modify

00:12:27:18 - 00:12:29:28
the price depending on the canvas chosen.

00:12:30:29 - 00:12:34:03
So the price factor will be
how much the product's base price is.

00:12:34:03 - 00:12:35:16
Multiplied by.

00:12:35:16 - 00:12:38:18
Meaning that
if you were to leave the price factor

00:12:38:18 - 00:12:42:18
as its default of one,
then the base price will be unaffected.

00:12:43:08 - 00:12:46:23
If you change it to 1.5,
then the base price will be.

00:12:46:23 - 00:12:50:12
Multiplied by 1.5.

00:12:50:12 - 00:12:54:29
So for example,
if your product has a base price of £4.

00:12:56:04 - 00:12:56:26
And you have a.

00:12:56:26 - 00:12:58:00
Canvas price.

00:12:58:00 - 00:12:58:29
Factor.

00:12:58:29 - 00:13:05:03
Of 1.5, then the product you will end up
with is the final price.

00:13:05:03 - 00:13:07:21
Of £6.

00:13:11:11 - 00:13:12:29
Remember to update the other price

00:13:12:29 - 00:13:15:28
factor options to one
if they're going to be unchanged.

00:13:16:01 - 00:13:21:19
So we don't want to be left to zero,
but these are price factors

00:13:21:19 - 00:13:23:24
associated with the output type selection,

00:13:24:20 - 00:13:27:14
with the number of pages.

00:13:27:25 - 00:13:28:16
If the.

00:13:28:16 - 00:13:31:17
Base weight is being. Adjusted

00:13:31:17 - 00:13:35:14
and so on.

00:13:35:14 - 00:13:37:20
I'll give this a name and a description.

00:13:37:20 - 00:13:38:23
So I'd say factor one.

00:13:38:23 - 00:13:40:10
Point five

00:13:47:12 - 00:13:48:16
and then I'm going to scroll to the.

00:13:48:16 - 00:13:56:27
Right hand side and click on insert.

00:13:57:17 - 00:14:05:15
Now we have the ability
to modify the size factor.

00:14:05:15 - 00:14:09:20
So if I scroll to the left hand side
and the Size Factor column and hit edit,

00:14:10:12 - 00:14:13:01
you'll see here that we've got this
little pop up window appearing.

00:14:13:26 - 00:14:16:08
So this is where you would adjust the factor.

00:14:16:08 - 00:14:19:07
But remember that it's the same aspect.

00:14:19:07 - 00:14:21:29
Ratio as the default sizing.

00:14:21:29 - 00:14:23:00
Meaning that we're just.

00:14:23:00 - 00:14:25:08
Controlling a scale factor.

00:14:26:04 - 00:14:28:07
So for example, if I start modifying this

00:14:29:11 - 00:14:30:20
bar here,

00:14:30:20 - 00:14:33:11
you can
see that our new size is being calculated.

00:14:33:11 - 00:14:34:14
Automatically.

00:14:34:14 - 00:14:37:08
And our factor is changing.

00:14:37:08 - 00:14:38:29
I can also put in a number in here.

00:14:38:29 - 00:14:42:14
So let's say
our factor is just a 1.5 factor.

00:14:43:27 - 00:14:46:17
You can see my new canvas size underneath.

00:14:46:17 - 00:14:54:27
And then I can hit save.

00:14:54:27 - 00:14:56:22
I can have as many different canvases.

00:14:56:22 - 00:14:58:02
As I. Like here.

00:14:58:02 - 00:14:59:22
And then I can go back.

00:14:59:22 - 00:15:00:28
To list

00:15:02:29 - 00:15:04:22
and again we'll have a look at how.

00:15:04:22 - 00:15:06:28
This appears on our. Actual product.

00:15:07:15 - 00:15:10:13
So if I go to my

00:15:11:03 - 00:15:12:23
product settings, same as we've seen

00:15:12:23 - 00:15:16:07
a couple of times in this tutorial,
going to refresh that.

00:15:16:07 - 00:15:17:08
So we have an updated.

00:15:17:08 - 00:15:18:29
Canvas list

00:15:20:04 - 00:15:20:27
and then I'm going to make.

00:15:20:27 - 00:15:23:15
Sure that I've got my
multi size canvas selected.

00:15:24:20 - 00:15:26:16
So even though I've only got one canvas.

00:15:26:16 - 00:15:30:06
Option selected here
when I view this on our product page,

00:15:31:21 - 00:15:33:13
I will have. Two different canvas.

00:15:33:13 - 00:15:35:16
Options available
because that has two particular.

00:15:35:16 - 00:15:37:07
Specifications.

00:15:37:18 - 00:15:43:23
I can also double these up with other
canvas types or the canvas specifications.

00:15:44:06 - 00:15:45:11
So if I wanted to offer an.

00:15:45:11 - 00:15:48:27
A4 option in addition to these,

00:15:48:27 - 00:15:51:23
I could also select

00:15:51:23 - 00:15:54:25
our A4 portrait option
that we created earlier on

00:15:55:03 - 00:15:58:03
and then save that.

00:15:58:03 - 00:16:00:20
And now that will also be available.

00:16:00:20 - 00:16:03:00
In our Canvas Options

00:16:03:00 - 00:16:04:18
list.

MegaEdit Canvas

One of the key components on MegaEdit is the Canvas. In the design world, canvases represent the dimension of the product.

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a canvas within our storefront configuration and how to assign it to our MegaEdit product.

A canvas can be set as a fixed size, or can have dynamic sizing controllable by the customer. This tutorial will show where to set up the dynamic sizing option.

15. Configure dynamic canvas properties

The Canvas Properties tab allows configuration of dynamic canvas sizing.

In order to configure this, all you need to do is fill in the values to set the boundaries for the dimensions of the canvas. This will allow you to set minimum and maximum values for both the width and height, as well as the steps for each of these.

Note: The Step is how many units it will increase or decrease in. For example, if you set the step to 10, the user would only be able to increase or decrease the value by 10 or multiples of 10. This allows you to ensure that your products will only create outputs with dimensions that you can work with, if such a requirement is present.

In this example, we have set the boundaries so that the canvas can be no smaller than 100mm x 100mm, and no larger than 800mm x 800mm, as well as only allowing the user to increase/decrease the width in a step of 50, and the height in steps of 50.

Although I have set these values to be in millimeters, the system will convert these values to whichever measurement the user chooses to use on the landing page. The supported units are: Centimeters, Millimeters, Inches, Points.

Note: If you do not set all of the values to be anything above 0, the feature will not be correctly configured and will not activate.

Users can select whether each page in a MegaEdit product is of the same size. Simply check on uncheck the "Same Size for all pages" option to control this.

24. Complete record information

Fill in the required data for this record. We will come back to the Size Factor field shortly.

Remember to complete all of the factor fields, allowing you to modify product elements such as price or weight based on the selection of this canvas.

MegaEdit allows you to assign a price factor to your canvas, allowing you to modify the price depending on the canvas chosen.

The price factor will be how much the product's base price is multiplied by, meaning that if you were to leave the price factor at its default of 1, then the base price will be unaffected. If you were to change it to 1.5, then the base price would be multiplied by 1.5.

For example, if your product had a base price of £4, and you had a canvas price factor of 1.5, then the product will end up with a final price of £6 (£4 * 1.5).

Remember to update the other price factor options to 1, then click Update.

25. Edit the new canvas size record

The administrator can now amend the dimensions of the new canvas size record. This must remain in the same aspect ratio as the default size, meaning the size is controlled via scale factor.
