0:00 Hi. Welcome to the Infigo Academy. In this video, we'll be walking you through how to create a customer within the Infigo platform on storefront level.
0:10 These are the customers that can access your storefront and manage or place orders. You can also create customers on platform level, and you would use the same flow as storefront level to do so, but the platform level customers are meant more for your admin team.
0:24 These are the people who, based on the roles you assign to them, will be able to access all storefronts and manage First, ensure you've navigated to the customer management section.
0:38 On the main page, you'll be able to see the customer search filters and the customer list. These are all the customers currently saved to this specific storefront.
0:46 As you can see here, we have 1262 customers on this storefront at the moment. At the top right of the page, click on the add new button.
1:00 You'll be redirected to the add new customer form. Now you have the option to just add an email and a password, then let the customer fill in the rest, or you can fill out the entire form for the customer.
1:12 This is completely up to you. In this example, I'll just fill in the entire form. The password field has a random generator built in, but you can also set your own password here, and the customer can change it later down the line when they go to login.
1:26 in. To force them to change the password on next login, ensure the password expired checkbox is enabled. You can also disable this option if you want them to keep the password you've set and they'll still be able to change it if they really wish to.
1:52 Now that we've entered an email, password, name and address details, you'll also have the option to add an admin comment.
1:59 This is purely for internal use and the customer will not be able to view the admin comment. Under the admin comment box, we have the is tax exempt setting.
2:09 If you enable this setting and you have tax configuration applied on this storefront, the relevant customer will not have any tax applied to their orders.
2:17 The tax will be set to zero in the basket. Under the tax exempt setting, we have the show inactive items in basket setting.
2:26 If you enable this setting, any inactive products will always show in the basket on the storefront and in the admin customer basket view area.
2:35 What do I mean by inactive products? Inactive products are items that sit in a customer's basket for longer than 10 minutes.
2:43 So, if this setting is enabled, it will show items that have been set for longer than 10 minutes. And when disabled, it will not show those items.
2:52 Once you've filled in and configured the whole create customer form, you also have the customer roles tab to the right.
2:58 This is where you can assign specific roles and responsibilities to each customer. For example, if you give the customer the Approva role, this is the person who will be approving or rejecting orders.
3:11 Click the Save button and you'll be redirected back to the customer list with the new customer created successfully. And that's all for this video.
3:44 See you in the next one.
