Setting Up Bidirectional PrintIQ Companies and Contacts Sync
Summary
PrintIQ and Infigo can now automatically synchronise company and contact records in either direction, so departments and customers do not need to be created or updated by hand in both systems.
Problem
Previously there was no automated sync between PrintIQ and Infigo for companies or contacts. Departments and customers had to be created manually in both systems, with no way to keep only specific directions in sync.
Environment
Applies to storefronts using the PrintIQ MIS plugin integration. PrintIQ companies map to Infigo departments; PrintIQ contacts map to Infigo customers.
Configuration
This guide walks through the Department and Customer Sync section of the PrintIQ MIS plugin settings, which controls the four independent sync directions between PrintIQ companies/contacts and Infigo departments/customers.
Step 1: Open the PrintIQ MIS plugin settings in the admin area
Go to Connect Plugins in the admin area and open the PrintIQ plugin's Configure page. Scroll down to the "Department and Customer Sync" section, which holds all of the settings below. Requires the ManageMisPlugins permission.

Step 2: Enable the sync directions you need
Each of the four sync directions is an independent checkbox, off by default: "Sync PrintIQ Customers → Infigo Departments", "Sync PrintIQ Contacts → Infigo Customers", "Push Infigo Customers → PrintIQ Contacts", and "Push Infigo Departments → PrintIQ Customers".

Step 3: Choose the PrintIQ field for Department name
Once "Sync PrintIQ Customers → Infigo Departments" is enabled, the "PrintIQ field for Department name" dropdown appears. It selects which PrintIQ Customer field is mapped to the Infigo Department name. The real dropdown offers three options, Name (default), Code, and Location Code.

Step 4: Optionally enable Create customers as inactive
With "Sync PrintIQ Contacts → Infigo Customers" enabled, two related checkboxes appear. "Create Infigo customers as inactive" makes customers created from PrintIQ Contacts start inactive; if PrintIQ later reports the contact as active they are flipped to active and the "Customer Set As Active" email template fires (See Email Message Templates page). The plugin also exposes a second checkbox here, "Sync active status on customer update". When enabled, the PrintIQ Contact's Active field is applied to the Infigo Customer's active status on every update, not just creation.

Step 5: Optionally adjust each direction's run interval
Each of the four sync directions has its own "interval (seconds)" field, defaulting to 7200 (2 hours), that appears once that direction is enabled. This is the minimum time between two runs of that specific direction.

Step 6: Optionally enable test mode with a per-run record cap
"Enable test mode" appears once at least one sync direction is enabled. Turning it on caps each Customers/Contacts sync run at the "Max Customers per run" / "Max Contacts per run" limits below it (each defaults to 0, meaning no records sync in test mode until you raise it) and logs a Test/Debug header at the start of each run. This is a safe way to validate the setup before running unattended.

Verification
Enable one sync direction at a time and confirm matching companies/contacts appear as departments/customers without duplicates.
Register a new Infigo customer with the Infigo → PrintIQ direction enabled and confirm it syncs immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled run.
Confirm a PrintIQ customer activation sets the matching Infigo customer active and triggers the "Customer Set As Active" email.
