Activating a Storefront Language
Summary
The platform ships with translation packs for a growing set of languages beyond English, most already registered but switched off by default. Enabling any of them for your storefront is a short change in Configuration > Languages, with no code or database work required.
Problem
An administrator wants to offer the storefront in one of the platform's available languages but doesn't see it live to customers yet, or wants to know how to activate any of the platform's language packs.
Environment
Applies to all storefronts. Most languages ship registered but unpublished. They are visible in the admin panel's Languages list but hidden from storefront customers until an administrator enables and publishes them.
Available Languages
English and English US are installed and published by default; every other language in this list ships unpublished until enabled following the steps below. New language packs are added over time, so check Configuration > Languages for the current full set.
Configuration
This guide walks through enabling and publishing any available language so it becomes visible to storefront customers, using the Languages management section in the admin panel.
Step 1: Navigate to Configuration > Languages
In the admin panel, go to Configuration > Languages to see the full list of languages available on the platform.

Step 2: Open the language you want to activate
Locate the language you want to enable in the list and click Edit next to it.
Step 3: Enable Published and save
Set Published to enabled and click Save.
Verification
Confirm the language appears in Configuration > Languages as published.
On the storefront, switch the language selector to the newly enabled language and confirm the interface displays correctly.
