Understanding Infigo Sync Security

Overview

Infigo Sync is a lightweight tool that allows your internal systems to send information directly to Infigo. All communication is initiated from your environment, which means nothing external needs to access your servers. This design makes Sync a good fit for businesses that prefer strict control over what enters and leaves their network.

How Infigo Sync Communicates

Infigo Sync always sends outbound HTTPS calls from your system to the Infigo API. Your environment initiates every request, and Sync never receives or expects incoming traffic. Because the connection always starts on your side, your own security rules and firewall policies remain fully in control of what is allowed.

Firewall Behaviour

Since Sync works entirely through outbound HTTPS, most IT setups require little or no adjustment. Outbound HTTPS is already permitted in most environments for general internet access, so Sync can operate within existing rules. Your IT team can choose to restrict outbound traffic so that it only reaches the Infigo API domain, and they can log or monitor all communication in the same way they would for any other outbound service. No inbound ports are opened, and nothing external connects into your network.

Is Infigo Sync Secure?

Yes. Sync is considered very secure because all communication originates from within your own environment and no inbound access is needed. Data is transmitted only over encrypted HTTPS, and the tool communicates solely with the Infigo API. Because nothing external enters your system, Sync meets the requirements of teams who prefer a controlled, outbound-only integration model.

When to Use Infigo Sync

Sync is ideal when you want your internal systems to push updates to Infigo rather than relying on an external service to initiate contact. It works well in environments with strict network rules, especially when there is a preference for outbound-only communication.
