How to navigate Infigo admin | CORE_003

This guide gives a quick tour of the Infigo Admin interface so you can find your way around confidently in future tutorials. It explains the two main navigation areas: the top header bar (for quick access to release notes, help desk/support, Infigo Academy, notifications, your current account context, switch storefront, clear cache, and logout) and the left-hand admin menu (where most configuration happens). You’ll also learn how the left menu is structured like an expandable folder tree, why the search box is the fastest way to jump to settings, and what to do if you don’t see a menu area mentioned in a tutorial due to licensing or features not yet enabled.

Tutorial Video Transcript

0:00 In this short guide we're going to very quickly show you how to navigate the Infigo admin area. Now for this demo I'm going to log in using my Platform Administrator account.
0:11 This is the account the Infigo team will provide once your platform is available to use. Infigo admin has two main navigation layers.
0:21 It has the top head bar and the left hand admin menu. Once you know what lives where, it's much easier to follow every other tutorial.
0:34 So let's start with the top header bar. Starting at the far left, you will see a cluster of links. And you can think of this as your assistance area.
0:44 Quick access to information and support whilst you're working. So you have direct access to our release notes. This will tell you, I'll link you to articles and videos as to what's new in Infigo in different months, what's been updated in the software, so you can keep right up to date with what's going
1:00 on. You've got direct access to the help desk. So that's where to go when you need support from our dedicated support team.
1:11 You've got direct access to the Infigo Academy, so your guided learning and tutorials, which is what you're using now. And we have our notifications.
1:20 So these are alerts and messages that are relevant to your environment. So when there's something important the Infigo team needs you to know, we'll put an alert which will show up on your platform here.
1:34 Now over on the right hand side of the header bar, You'll see, first of all, current account. This is your where am I indicator.
1:44 It tells you what environment or account context you're currently working within. Next along is switch storefront. Now, if you recall from the previous video, that will only be available if you're logged in as your platform administrator.
1:57 We're not going to use this in this particular video, but it's helpful to know where it sits in the interface so you can recognize it later.
2:05 Next to that, we have clear cache. So this will be a very useful tool going forwards. If you've made any changes to your storefront at any point and they're not appearing on the front end for whatever reason, clearing the cache is a normal step to get this to resolve.
2:20 But that will be covered in later tutorials. And then finally there's a logout button on the right hand side. The second navigation layer is the left hand administration menu.
2:32 This is where most of the configuration happens. It's organized into sections that expand and collapse like a folder tree. At the top of this menu, you'll typically have a search box.
2:43 And this is your fastest way to get around. If you already know the keywords that you're looking for, type it here rather than clicking through the menus.
3:01 One important note while navigating the left hand admin menu, depending on your license and what has been enabled on your platform, you may or may not see every admin area straight away.
3:14 Some features are disabled by default. If an Infigo Academy tutorial references an admin area you don't have access to, please submit a support ticket.
3:23 If you have the correct license our team can enable that for you or we can put you in contact with your customer success manager who can discuss licensing if additional licenses are required.
3:36 And that's it for the navigation overview. The top header for key links and utilities and the left menu for configuration.
3:43 Next up, we'll move into the build process and show you how to create a new storefront.
