How to create a new storefront | CORE_004

This tutorial walks you through creating a new storefront on your Infigo platform using platform administrator credentials. You’ll learn where to do it correctly (via Storefront Management in the left-hand admin menu, not the “switch storefront” screen), how to complete the “Add New” form (name, alias, description), and why the alias matters for accessing the storefront URL. It also covers setting initial branding during creation—primary/secondary/background/text colors, logo, and default fonts—then monitoring the storefront’s initialization status (refreshing until it moves from initializing to test). Finally, it shows how to switch storefront to make the new one active so future configuration applies to the correct storefront.

0:00 In this tutorial we're going to take a look at how to create a new storefront on your Infigo platform. Now once your platform is ready to be handed over to you, you will receive credential information from the Infigo team.
0:15 This will include platform level logins and a storefront level login of an existing storefront that we've created for you as an example.
0:26 In order to create a new storefront on our platform you need to log in with the platform administration credentials on the URL provided.
0:37 Once logged in you'll be taken to a screen of the storefronts that is currently available on your platform. Right at the top of the list will be a platform level entry and then any storefronts that are created will be listed underneath.
0:52 This gives you the ability to select the active storefront that we are utilizing. So for example, I can click on the platform level and it will take me to that platform level.
1:05 I can identify that at the top of the screen here. It shows me that's currently active. and now any changes that I make within the Infigo admin area will be made at that particular selected level.
1:20 Now this switch storefront screen that we were just on is not the location for creating new storefronts. So if I go over to the left-hand menu and type in storefront management, this will only be available when we're on a platform level account.
1:39 Again, that shows us a list of our available storefronts. However, the information that it's showing us is a little bit different.
1:46 So primarily what this is showing us is the status of all the existing storefronts. I'm going to go to add new to create a new storefront.
1:54 that will bring up a new form for us which we need to complete before we can actually create our new storefront.
2:00 So the first three options we have there are name, alias, and description. Name and description are just text strings just to give you some context as to which particular storefront you are working on.
2:13 The alias is a little bit more crucial. This is what you will actually input in order to get to your particular storefront.
2:20 So, for example, my parents, My particular storefront has the URL training.infigosoftware.com. In order to get to this particular storefront, I would put training.infigosoftware.com forward slash Infigo core.
2:30 Please bear in mind that some of these options may not be available on your core configuration Down at the bottom of the create new storefront form, you have the ability to specify some of your initial branding on the new storefront you want to spin up So this is a selection of a primary, secondary,
2:51 and background color, along with some text color That will be used throughout the new storefront that's being spun up, and can be changed at any time in the future And you can also input a logo, which will be shown again in various places on your storefront, primarily on the header and footer, by default
3:08 You've also got the ability to select the default body and title fonts Again, more of these can be uploaded and utilized later on Once all of those have been filled in, click create That will take you back to the list of available storefronts And if you identify the storefront that you've just generated
3:34 , you'll be able to keep an eye on the initialization process, which shouldn't take more than around 60 seconds. As soon as this status changes, changes from initializing to test, we know our storefront is ready to go We may have to hit this refresh button to make sure we're seeing the most up-to-date
3:51 statuses So that's now switched to test If I go back to the top of this screen, go to our switch storefront button on the top right select, locate our new storefront, and then click Select.
4:13 That will make sure that our new storefront is the one that's currently active, so any work we do in new at this stage will be performed on that particular storefront itself Just to remind you, there's only very limited things we're going to do whilst logged in to the platform level here, even though
4:28 we're impacting the storefront All we're going to do in the next tutorial is create a storefront administrator account, and then we're going to log out of our platform account and utilize that storefront account from then
