00:00:13:09 - 00:00:15:27
In this
tutorial we'll cover the possible settings

00:00:15:27 - 00:00:19:22
within the Easypost
configuration settings and Infigo..

00:00:20:28 - 00:00:24:03
This section determines
how your parcel sizes

00:00:24:12 - 00:00:28:19
will be calculated and sent to Easypost.

00:00:28:22 - 00:00:29:24
So the first thing we need to do

00:00:29:24 - 00:00:32:27
is to navigate to the parcel section
within the Easypost

00:00:32:27 - 00:00:38:11
configuration settings,
and then we'll just go through

00:00:38:11 - 00:00:42:22
a few of these settings
and exactly what they do.

00:00:42:27 - 00:00:45:25
Starting off with the parcels
allocation level.

00:00:45:25 - 00:00:47:04
So there are three options here.

00:00:47:04 - 00:00:50:16
We've got order, order line and order
line quantity.

00:00:51:00 - 00:00:53:20
This allows you to decide what inputs

00:00:53:20 - 00:00:55:22
into the parcel size calculation.

00:00:57:09 - 00:01:01:04
So if you set this to order,
it will consider all items in that order.

00:01:01:05 - 00:01:03:27
When calculating the parcel sizes.

00:01:03:27 - 00:01:08:13
When you set it to order line,
it will do a calculation for each order

00:01:08:13 - 00:01:11:23
line item
so that the very least you will receive

00:01:11:24 - 00:01:15:08
back is a shipping label for each order
line item.

00:01:16:01 - 00:01:21:00
And this will be more if the maximum
parcel lengths or weights are exceeded.

00:01:22:05 - 00:01:24:20
And then when you set this to order
line quantity,

00:01:24:27 - 00:01:28:25
it will do the calculation
for every quantity of order line items.

00:01:29:03 - 00:01:32:24
So here you will essentially receive
at least one parcel

00:01:33:01 - 00:01:36:16
or shipping label per unit.

00:01:41:03 - 00:01:44:08
The next option down is the parcel size
calculation.

00:01:44:20 - 00:01:49:02
This setting essentially determines
whether or not you would like Infigo

00:01:49:02 - 00:01:52:19
to calculate the number of parcels
and dimensions of the parcels

00:01:53:01 - 00:01:58:02
based on a specific formula
or use a set of predefined parcel sizes.

00:01:59:03 - 00:02:01:14
So again,
we'll talk through a few of these options

00:02:02:08 - 00:02:07:07
when this is set to auto calculate
it will take the quantity

00:02:07:07 - 00:02:09:22
and the dimensions of the items
that are being ordered

00:02:10:01 - 00:02:12:21
and then along with the following
two settings.

00:02:12:21 - 00:02:15:19
So the auto calculated parcel max weight

00:02:16:01 - 00:02:18:21
and max size will determine

00:02:18:21 - 00:02:22:17
the optimum parcel count and size for the
item that's being ordered.

00:02:24:09 - 00:02:24:18
It is

00:02:24:18 - 00:02:28:05
important that when using this
that all of your products have

00:02:28:05 - 00:02:31:29
the mentioned values entered for weight,
height, length

00:02:32:08 - 00:02:38:08
and width.

00:02:38:08 - 00:02:41:06
So when we're not using auto
calculated amount

00:02:41:06 - 00:02:45:00
using one of these other options
for predefined,

00:02:45:00 - 00:02:49:05
we do allow you to configure your own
predefined parcel sizes

00:02:50:06 - 00:02:54:01
and we'll cover exactly how to do that
in a two step.

00:02:54:09 - 00:02:57:24
However, keep going through the other
options that we have available here.

00:02:58:08 - 00:03:01:05
So we do have predefined parcels,

00:03:01:19 - 00:03:05:21
so that will only send the predefined
parcels, dimensions and weight

00:03:06:24 - 00:03:09:20
that includes the figure weight
if the setting is set

00:03:11:06 - 00:03:13:25
and then we have predefined parcels name.

00:03:13:25 - 00:03:18:00
So this will pass the parcel names
as well as dimensions and weights

00:03:18:11 - 00:03:23:07
and supported
names can be found on the Easypost website

00:03:24:27 - 00:03:25:21
within the

00:03:25:21 - 00:03:34:13
API documentation.

00:03:34:13 - 00:03:38:18
Now the other options in here
are combination options.

00:03:38:18 - 00:03:41:04
So so think any of the options
with combinations

00:03:41:04 - 00:03:45:08
we make two request the Easypost,
which means your customers will be able

00:03:45:08 - 00:03:55:04
to choose from all of the services
that are returned.

00:03:55:04 - 00:03:58:22
Okay, brief description on the two options
below this.

00:03:58:22 - 00:04:03:18
So the auto calculated parcel size
when it's considering the max weight

00:04:03:18 - 00:04:05:01
and the max size.

00:04:05:01 - 00:04:09:02
So for the max weights, the setting lets
you define the maximum parcel weight

00:04:09:29 - 00:04:13:28
and that will be used when determining
if multiple parcels are required

00:04:14:23 - 00:04:16:27
if the maximum weight is exceeded.

00:04:18:00 - 00:04:20:17
So currently this is a storefront setting,

00:04:20:17 - 00:04:24:06
so will be set for all carriers
linked to your Easypost account.

00:04:24:06 - 00:04:28:18
And as you can see on the units
there, this is currently done in ounces

00:04:30:16 - 00:04:31:23
and then looking at the size.

00:04:31:23 - 00:04:35:06
So this is the total calculated
required volume

00:04:35:06 - 00:04:40:04
of the parcel using a girth algorithm
which is two times the length

00:04:40:11 - 00:04:44:04
plus two times the height plus the width.

00:04:44:04 - 00:04:48:09
And this, as we've talked about before, is
used when the auto parcel calculation

00:04:48:25 - 00:04:57:04
is enabled.

00:04:57:04 - 00:04:57:28
Okay.

00:04:57:28 - 00:05:01:15
So the next section down
is the predefined parcels.

00:05:01:25 - 00:05:05:21
So when you're not using the auto
parcel size calculation setting,

00:05:06:00 - 00:05:09:17
we allow you to configure
your own predefined parcel sizes

00:05:09:28 - 00:05:12:19
so these can be selected
when requesting a shipment,

00:05:12:27 - 00:05:15:26
as we saw in a previous video,

00:05:15:26 - 00:05:19:15
when buy shipping instantly
it's set to true again.

00:05:19:15 - 00:05:22:29
As we saw in a previous video,
we will request a shipping label

00:05:22:29 - 00:05:28:14
for every predefined parcel size
that you have configured.

00:05:28:14 - 00:05:33:06
If you also have your parcel allocation
level set to order line or order

00:05:33:06 - 00:05:34:16
line quantity,

00:05:34:16 - 00:05:38:03
then your predefined parcels will be
requested for each of those as well.

00:05:39:25 - 00:05:42:17
When buy shipping instantly is disabled

00:05:42:27 - 00:05:47:02
and you are requesting your shipments
manually, then these predefined parcels

00:05:47:03 - 00:05:50:23
will become options
for you to select from this screen

00:05:50:23 - 00:05:53:23
where you request
the creation of that shipment.

00:05:54:09 - 00:05:57:27
This essentially just saves you
from writing out the dimensions manually

00:05:57:27 - 00:06:03:00
every single time.

00:06:03:00 - 00:06:05:13
Adding a new predefined parcel is easy.

00:06:05:13 - 00:06:06:27
Simply click the button.

00:06:06:27 - 00:06:10:04
It creates a new line in our table here

00:06:10:24 - 00:06:14:12
and we can just double click to modify
any bits of information

00:06:14:12 - 00:06:21:15
within that.

00:06:21:15 - 00:06:24:03
If you need any more information

00:06:24:03 - 00:06:28:13
on the measurement of package
size, click on the more info button here.

00:06:28:13 - 00:06:34:01
Just to give you
an additional description.

00:06:34:01 - 00:06:35:06
And don't forget, once

00:06:35:06 - 00:06:39:00
you've made any of these changes, scroll
to the top of the screen and click Save.

00:06:39:07 - 00:06:47:25
Otherwise, those changes
you've made won't be applied.
