In this short tutorial, we'll take a look
at how to incorporate

00:00:08:08 - 00:00:12:25
handling and processing
fees into your order pricing.

00:00:12:28 - 00:00:16:00
These fees come in three different forms,
which we'll explain here

00:00:16:00 - 00:00:21:17
and are easy to configure on a storefront
by storefront basis.

00:00:21:19 - 00:00:24:05
So first we were going to go to our order

00:00:24:05 - 00:00:28:19
settings screen
just to begin configuring this

00:00:28:21 - 00:00:30:26
and then navigate all the way down

00:00:30:26 - 00:00:36:07
to our processing
and handling fee section.

00:00:36:10 - 00:00:37:23
So if these values in here

00:00:37:23 - 00:00:41:22
are all set to zero,
which they are by default, references

00:00:41:22 - 00:00:45:16
for the processing and handling
fee will not be seen in the frontend

00:00:45:19 - 00:00:50:19
or within the admin based sales screens.

00:00:50:22 - 00:00:52:09
However, if you do want to utilize

00:00:52:09 - 00:00:56:00
these particular fees here,
there are three separate fees available.

00:00:56:03 - 00:00:58:14
One is the order processing fee.

00:00:58:14 - 00:01:01:28
So this applies one
fee to an entire order.

00:01:02:01 - 00:01:06:03
Every order will have this additional fee,

00:01:06:05 - 00:01:07:20
the job handling fee.

00:01:07:20 - 00:01:13:06
So this is an additional fee
applied to every line in the basket.

00:01:13:08 - 00:01:15:16
And then we have the product handling fee.

00:01:15:16 - 00:01:19:22
So an additional fee apply to each
different product within the basket.

00:01:19:25 - 00:01:22:24
So, for example,
if we have the same product in the basket

00:01:22:24 - 00:01:27:13
twice with different attribute selections,
only one additional fee

00:01:27:13 - 00:01:31:05
will then be applied.

00:01:31:07 - 00:01:34:21
So make sure you enter some values in here
if you want to utilize them,

00:01:34:24 - 00:01:39:20
and then go ahead and save that page.

00:01:39:22 - 00:01:40:24
Next, I'm going to navigate

00:01:40:24 - 00:01:47:03
to my tax settings

00:01:47:05 - 00:01:47:24
and then scroll

00:01:47:24 - 00:01:50:24
all the way down
to handling and processing fee.

00:01:50:25 - 00:01:54:20
So additional settings are available
in here, allowing you to define

00:01:54:20 - 00:01:57:28
whether these additional fees
are taxable or not.

00:01:58:00 - 00:02:02:26
So you just need to simply configure
the required dropdowns.

00:02:02:29 - 00:02:06:05
So back
to the tax categories you want to utilize

00:02:06:08 - 00:02:14:24
and then save.

00:02:14:26 - 00:02:16:17
Once those have been applied,
let's have a look

00:02:16:17 - 00:02:20:12
at how they work in our frontend
and how they utilized.

00:02:20:14 - 00:02:23:07
So I'm just going to navigate
to the front end of my storefront

00:02:23:07 - 00:02:31:21
and just add a few different products
to my basket.

00:02:31:23 - 00:02:35:18
So go to my basket screen once
I've added a few different products to it.

00:02:35:21 - 00:02:38:15
The breakdown of our order
that we can see over on the right hand

00:02:38:15 - 00:02:42:24
side is including those new fees.

00:02:42:27 - 00:02:45:27
So here we can confirm how
those are being applied.

00:02:46:00 - 00:02:50:01
So our basket in
this case has four different order lines.

00:02:50:04 - 00:02:54:24
However, two of those order lines
are the same products that we can see here

00:02:54:26 - 00:02:58:10
with different attribute value selections.

00:02:58:12 - 00:03:01:12
So as a result, we have a one time

00:03:01:12 - 00:03:07:26
inclusion of an order processing fee,
which is applied to the entire order.

00:03:07:28 - 00:03:10:07
We have four instances of a

00:03:10:07 - 00:03:13:14
job handling fee, which is counting
the number of order lines.

00:03:13:17 - 00:03:18:10
And we have three instances of a product
handling fee because this is looking

00:03:18:10 - 00:03:25:21
at how many different products
there are in our basket.

00:03:25:23 - 00:03:27:19
I'm just going to proceed
through the checkout

00:03:27:19 - 00:03:34:05
and we'll have a look at where else
we can see this information.

00:03:34:07 - 00:03:35:10
So some examples of where

00:03:35:10 - 00:03:39:09
we can see this resulting information
are in the customer's my order screen.

00:03:39:09 - 00:03:42:09
So this is customer facing of course.

00:03:42:10 - 00:03:51:03
I take additional
look at that particular order.

00:03:51:06 - 00:03:51:15
We'll see.

00:03:51:15 - 00:03:55:14
We have a breakdown of costs,
including those additional fees.

00:03:55:16 - 00:03:59:10
Now, from the admin perspective,
we can also see those bits of information

00:03:59:10 - 00:04:03:21
inside the admin
facing sales screen as well.

00:04:03:24 - 00:04:08:15
If I go to the admin
area, go to sales and orders

00:04:08:18 - 00:04:09:16
and take a look at one of

00:04:09:16 - 00:04:13:13
those orders that I've just placed.

00:04:13:15 - 00:04:14:09
You can see in here

00:04:14:09 - 00:04:17:17
that we have a breakdown of those fees
included in our orders as well.
