Version Attributes let you store information—such as a job name or detailed description—for each version inside a multipart product.

  • Add as many per-version text fields as you need simply by creating product attributes that start with the prefix Version_ (case-insensitive).

  • When a product contains at least one Version Attribute, the product page and basket automatically switch to a refreshed “multi-design” layout that shows those attributes alongside each version, while regular product attributes stay on the parent item.

  • In carts and orders, Version Attributes behave just like normal attributes except they prevent line-item merging—two items with identical Version Attribute values always remain separate jobs.

Step-by-Step Implementation Guide

  1. Create or edit your multipart, versioned product.

  2. Create text based attributes, prefixing the attribute name with "Version_". E.g. "Version_Order Details"




  3. Add Version Attributes

    1. Navigate to the Product's "Product Variant" settings.

    2. Add the prefixed product attributes to the product.

    3. Choose Text box or Multiline text box.

    4. Set a friendly label that customers will see (e.g. “Job Name”).





  4. Preview the product page.

    • Each version now shows its own set of Version Attributes directly under its artworks.

    • Parent-level product attributes remain grouped above.
