0:00:10 Hello everybody and welcome to today's webinar. Um, same process as always. I'll just wait a minute or two for any late comers.
0:00:21 But in the meantime, could someone please let me know in the chat that you might see if you can see me hear me and see my screen.
0:00:34 Fantastic. Thank you very much. Okay. Right. So, what we're going to be covering in today's webinar is all about getting results within Figo Insights.
0:00:56 And I'm actually going to widen that out a little bit just to be a sort of general catch all about insights, just to show you what it's capable of, What kind of things you can do with it and how you can maybe utilize a bit of AI in there as well to actually make insights work for you.
0:01:14 Just to do the usual housekeeping, the duration of the webinar again will be around one hour. One of these days I will actually stick to the one hour webinar and I won't go over.
0:01:25 And today I'm going to be supported by Harrison. That says Harper as well, but Harper's not with us today. So Harrison will be looking after the chat for us.
0:01:35 So if you do have any questions as we go through, then please just put a question in there for Harrison, and he will try and answer them during the course of the webinar, or we'll take them away and we'll answer them off line later on.
0:01:49 So as always, the recording will be available after the webinar. I think you'll get sent out a link automatically to get to the team's link, and it will be put on the academy as well.
0:02:00 In terms of the agenda, we will be covering as much about insights as we possibly can, as I've mentioned, focusing on some things as well which have come up from support tickets recently, which Harrison has kind of shared the information with me, such as the differentiation between the different tiers
0:02:18 that you can get for insights, explaining various different bits of meta-base and the permissions that you can have in Envigo and that kind of thing, so we'll try and get through all of that today.
0:02:31 Right at the end of the session, I did put in a section for Have Your Say, but I have changed my mind a bit on that one.
0:02:38 Still want you to have your say, but as we're going through, if you do have any thoughts about the kind of thing you would like to see from insights, if there's any features that maybe you've had an idea about as I'm talking through or as you've been using it yourself, please just put it in the chat
0:02:54 there and we can take that on board. It doesn't mean they're all going to be put in, but we're always looking for ideas of ways to improve different bits of the software.
0:03:02 So if you do have ideas and anything springs to mind, please just put it in the chat and we can take it away to potentially put in the software in the future.
0:03:11 And of course you're not just limited to doing that during the session, you can make those suggestions later on as well and send them into support if you wish to do so.
0:03:22 Okay, apologies I do have a cough today by the way, so if I have to mute for a slight coughing fit, please do bear with me.
0:03:32 So it's going to be a mix of presentation based and demonstration based today, hopefully about a 50 50 splits, so you don't get presentation fatigue, but I want to just start off with a description of what is insights, because I know someone will call probably aren't to aware of what this module is,
0:03:50 or what it's capable of doing. So in figure insights, it's a comprehensive and scalable reporting module that we have available for our customers, and it empowers your business that allows you to fundamentally create reports of loads of different sets of information that will be useful to you in understanding
0:04:10 what's happening on your storefronts and on your platforms, but then also with different levels of insights as I'll go through in a little moment, you've got the capability to sort of visualize that data in different ways, you can create dashboards, you can dig into that data really deeply to really
0:04:28 understand what's happening on your platforms. It seamlessly integrates with loads of different information from your infigo platform, from all of your different storefronts, which I'll go on to in a minute.
0:04:41 And what you're essentially doing with this insights is making reusable table templates for reports and dashboards, which can then be populated with all the data that you need to look at, either to have a quick glance or to then dig into in more detail.
0:04:57 And I want you to do detailed analysis on what's happening on your platform without interrupting those live storefront operations. So you've got them just when you need them basically.
0:05:09 So I've split this down into a few different sections and I'll just take them, and take you through this step by step.
0:05:15 So the first thing I wanted to point out here was the integration capabilities of insights. Now, what I mean by this is the information that is actually drawn from your infigo platform and can be accessed from your insights reports.
0:05:30 Now, we'll see this in action a little bit later on. But it's capable of drawing information in from all corners of your infigo storefronts.
0:05:38 So this could be things like fundamentally your order information and your order line information, but it can also assess things like customers, product catalogs, login history, login trends, that kind of thing information to do with your connect link integrations, your MIS integrations, PrintIQ, Sirm
0:06:03 , whatever it is you might be using, Attribute Information and so much more. So you can drag loads of information in from your storefronts and your platforms.
0:06:13 And what all of this aims to do is you can link all of this information together to get a really complete overview of your entire infigo ecosystem and see how the different things relate to each other pulling all the information that you need to see it in the way that is useful for you.
0:06:32 So next is another major point, which is customizable reporting. So we'll see this in a little while, but every single storefront and platform is shipped with some standard insights reports and dashboards, which you are freely available to utilize.
0:06:52 But when you get to some of the higher tiers of insights, which we'll go through in a bit of while as to what they cover, you do have the ability to create fully customized reporting templates using a specialized platform that we integrate with, which is called MetaBase, which is perfectly set up and
0:07:10 specifically designed for data analysis and this kind of thing. And I'll go into what MetaBase is and what it does in a little while.
0:07:22 It's also important to note here that you do get real-time data. So there's not any lag or anything like that when you're dealing with insights.
0:07:30 You're not waiting for reports to update. You're not just getting them periodically. If you need to look at data that's relevant right now, you can look at that data and it will give a live snapshot of what's happening on your storefront right now or for a set time in history or for the entire history
0:07:47 of your storefront. However, you want to view it, it is capable of doing it. And this information, this real time information is displayed straight on those customized templates that you've made.
0:07:59 So either the reports or the dashboards. Next point I've got here is template integration. So what I mean by this is, so we have our standard reports and dashboards, which I'll come onto in a moment.
0:08:18 They're available within the software. But then you have this meta-based platform, which you can use to create, as I mentioned, in your own customized reports and dashboards.
0:08:27 If you have a sufficient tier, so the relevant tier to do so, you don't have to view those customized reports and dashboards inside the meta-based application.
0:08:37 You can actually have those displaying inside your infigo platform for really quick access. So just to give you an example of what I mean by this, and we will see this again later on.
0:08:50 If I go to my academy storefront here, for example, I can go to Insights, Dashboards, and you can see I've got a few different Insights, Dashboards which are available.
0:09:03 It means that I don't have to go back to Metabase to see this, which is where we actually set it up.
0:09:10 We've got it, so it's bringing the information directly into our platform, so we can view it from in here. Now, of course, this is more related to the actual academy itself rather than specific storefront metrics, but it gives you an overview of the kind of thing that we might see.
0:09:27 Excuse me. Okay. The obligatory thing here that it's future ready, so insights is built to adapt and grow with your business, all of the templates that you make are fully customizable and editable, so as you start to grow and if that information becomes to bolt it in your current template, you can always
0:09:55 edit it and tweak it and make new reports to really zone in on the information that's specifically relevant to you.
0:10:03 So it's exactly what you need when you need it. It's also worth noting that this meta-based tool that we use to actually create these custom reports when we get to them is suitable for all user skill levels.
0:10:18 So they have very powerful report building wizards for lack of a better term, so actual tools for you to build those reports if you don't have the SQL technical skills, or you can use SQL SQL to actually create the report templates yourself.
0:10:33 essentially what they're what those tools are doing is creating SQL in the background and again, we'll see this later on.
0:10:41 And then finally about insights, we have flexible plans available. So we have different levels which suit different needs for different customers.
0:10:51 And that goes from absolute basics, which is what's available to everyone to our enterprise plan, which covers more reports than you can shake a stick at basically.
0:11:03 So looking at this in more detail, this is a low resolution image but hopefully we can get away with it.
0:11:10 This is giving you an overview of what the different tiers are capable of. Now we'll just put this very briefly for now and then I'll show this again at the end of the session once I've gone through everything.
0:11:21 So it actually has a bit more contextual sense to it, but this is just showing you the different levels. So out of the box, you've got your basic default reports and default dashboards.
0:11:32 So these are just default ones that we provide to you, which cannot be altered at this particular stage. If you opt for the pro level, you get additional functionality, such as the ability to create your own reports, to create some custom dashboards, and to actually do some more advanced capabilities
0:11:51 , such as automatically email those dashboards out at periodic times if you want to keep people in the know. And again, we'll cover that later on.
0:12:03 Excuse me. We then have propos, which is all of the above, but it gives you more technical capabilities, such as being able to actually write your reports in SQL if you have the in-house skills or access to AI.
0:12:19 You also have the ability with ProPlus to modify those custom reports and standard reports and standard dashboards as well. So if you do want to make tweaks to those and they're not quite suitable for you, you'd be able to edit those with ProPlus.
0:12:34 And then we have our enterprise level. So this is where you start being able to actually import those custom dashboards into your infigo platform itself to display, as I've just shown you then, you also get a dedicated installation and database so you get your own meta-base instance, essentially your
0:12:54 own meta-base area to work in. You get much more administrative control, various integrations and single sign-on capabilities. And you can see also with those different levels that we provide different limits as well in terms of the number of users that can operate on a particular instance, the number
0:13:15 of reports, and the number of dashboards that you're able to create. Right, as I mentioned, we'll come back to that later on once we've seen our context around this.
0:13:29 So because it's a major part of the Insights functionality, we need to talk a little bit about meta-base and what this is.
0:13:37 So this is not an infigo application, this is an application that we've integrated with in order to provide the insights functionality.
0:13:47 So what is meta base? It is an analytics engine which sits behind insights. So it does power the insights tools and it is directly linked with all of that infigo data that we were talking about.
0:14:01 So your orders, your customers, your products, everything that can be drawn out as much as possible out of that storefront can be fed into Metabase.
0:14:13 As we mentioned, it gives you custom flexible reporting. So we can use those tools to create bespoke reports and bespoke dashboards.
0:14:22 It also gives you the ability to sort of filter information, slice information and quite importantly to drill down further into the information as well.
0:14:32 So you can make your nice pretty dashboard, but then if you need to dig down and find some additional information and really dig into it, MetaBase gives you that functionality to assess that information in more detail, either with manual prompts, manual reports and templates, or it's got AI capabilities
0:14:54 in there as well to actually provide you with the information that you think you might need. Excuse me. Okay. And then obviously as we kind of touched on earlier on, MetaBase is available as our add-on.
0:15:16 So it's offered by Infigo as a purchaseable reporting tool for customers who need that deeper analysis capabilities than our standard insight reports.
0:15:24 And I'll show what you can do a standard later on to see if that's enough for you as well as showing you what the other higher levels of insights can do as well.
0:15:36 So a bit of information on the terminology that we're talking about here. Now this might seem quite simple but I want to make sure that we were all nice and clear.
0:15:44 So it's to begin with what are reports in this context. So, there are reports in MetaBase, there are also known as questions, or individual questions.
0:15:56 They sit right at the heart of our insights capabilities. As I mentioned, it will contain a few out of the box reports in your infigo platform, but we can create custom ones as well.
0:16:09 And then a single report, when you're actually creating a report, it will provide a single snapshot of data. So for example, it might be a single chart or it might be a single table or it might be a single pie chart or gauge or graph or something like that, but it is one snapshot of information.
0:16:28 It might have 300 columns in it, but it is just one set of information. It's important to know as well that your reports when you create them in MetaBase can contain information drawn from multiple different databases from various different places within emphego.
0:16:48 So for example we can link together the orderline information and the product information so that we can see exactly the product information that has been ordered on a particular orderline rather than it just been ID numbers for example.
0:17:02 So you can link all of this information together to see things exactly how you want to see it. In those reports as well as I've touched on, you can filter, sort, summarize, refine, create custom columns if you want to create a formula driven columns, so much stuff you can do to customize these, to create
0:17:22 a custom data sets. And you can also, as I mentioned, generate using custom SQL or custom SQL, if you have those skills in house.
0:17:33 So to make it even more detailed. Now what are dashboards? So very, very simple. To be honest with you, a dashboard is multiple reports combined into one easy to read page.
0:17:48 And they are designed to give you an overview of all of that important data that you need to see in one snapshot location.
0:17:55 So you can order one page either within infigo or in and it will show you all that information in one page and all of those reports, and then you can dig down into the information just rather than for you.
0:18:06 Now is a good time to just demonstrate the dashboard that we'll be utilizing today, which was created as an example for the webinar.
0:18:15 So this is actually being shown within Metabase itself. And just so you can see what kind of variation of things that we can do in terms of creating reports and creating dashboards, this is kind of designed to show you a lot of the different elements that we can include.
0:18:32 So for example, we can include maps. If we're talking about location data, you can create charts for orders for sales, individual numbers and figures.
0:18:43 If they're relevant, calculated figures based on other things in our storefront. So things like this shipping offset SLA. We can merge results into a single chart.
0:18:55 if that's what we want to see, if that's applicable to us, we can create tables and information, we can create pages, more charts, bar charts, pie charts.
0:19:07 Basically, there's more data here than you're going to know what to do with it. It should cover every single thing that you need to know about your platform.
0:19:15 And we'll cover, we'll go onto various elements of this dashboard today as we're going through the webinar. All right, so now let's talk about some practical usage and how we might actually go about utilizing MetaBase and creating our reports.
0:19:34 So as I briefly mentioned earlier on, we do have sort of really high quality report building wizards and tools available within MetaBase.
0:19:45 As I said, it's specifically built for this purpose, so it does have amazing tools for the job. And you do have the ability to create these complex reports.
0:19:53 In most cases, without writing any code at all. So I've already mentioned most of this. So let's just look at a couple of little examples and then go through actually creating something quite simply just to actually demonstrate this.
0:20:11 So let's start off with our orders per month, which is quite simple. So orders per month, I'm on my final dashboard here and I'm just going to go into that particular report, which is on our dashboard, and then I'm just going to go in and actually show the editor for this so I can go in and modify how
0:20:34 this data is displayed and what data it shows if that's applicable for me. And this is a very simple example of how that particular setup is done.
0:20:43 So what we've basically got is initially the ability to actually select the data set that we want to utilize. In this particular case, it's very simple.
0:20:53 I'm just using one data set, which is the order information because I just want the number of orders. But if I click on that and then go to my table section here, this is showing you all the different databases that we have available loads of different things.
0:21:09 So many different areas where you can draw information from your infigo storefronts. And then don't really need to go through all of those.
0:21:20 If you have the application you've got the ability to play around and I'll show you some documentation later on, which will let you explore this in more detail.
0:21:27 If you don't have the meta base application available at the moment. So basically we select our data. In this case, it's just one.
0:21:36 And then we've got the ability to actually perform actions on that data. So if I just got all of the order data, that would be a massive table of data with loads of different information in it, potentially tens of columns of data, thousands of rows potentially, and it's not particularly useful.
0:21:54 It's great. We could do further poster analysis on it, but it's not good for quick analysis of data. So what we might want to do is actually create that into a format, which is useful for us.
0:22:04 So what I've done in this case, which is just nice and simple, is to summarize that via the count. So that's just the count of rows in this order data.
0:22:16 And then I'm going to organize that via one of the metrics, which is in that order, which is the created date.
0:22:24 And then I've specified it to bunch that together into month by month information. Now, we'll manually create this in a moment so you can see actually how this was done.
0:22:35 But what I get, so we take all of that order data, we're counting it by rows and we're organizing it by month.
0:22:42 So then we can visualize that. I've set mine up to show us a chart, but if I go into our visualization options down here.
0:22:53 This is where we get the ability to control how this information is displayed on that particular report. So, for example, we might keep it as a basic table, we might have it as rows, we could have it as a combination plot, a scatter plot if we've got relevant data.
0:23:11 Again, so many different things in ways you might want to display this, I'll keep mine as an area plot for now.
0:23:21 So let's show you actually how this was made. So I'm going to make a new report or a new question as MetaBase calls it.
0:23:31 So let's the information that I want to use. So the table of data, the database that I want to utilize, so our orders.
0:23:40 On that, we have all of the different columns that are available in that data of which there are lots and lots and lots.
0:23:46 I'm not going to click on this because it's taken from the academy. So it might have customer email addresses and stuff in it.
0:23:53 So I'm not going to click on that for now. But that will show you a massive database of information based on all of the orders that have been placed.
0:24:01 We then have the ability to perform these additional actions that I mentioned. So this might be filtering, which is to do with, okay, well, if certain fields are empty, don't include them.
0:24:13 Or let's take look, for example. So if, um, billing address email, for example, that's one of our columns available in here.
0:24:25 If billing address email contains a certain string, or is empty, or is not empty, or something like that, we can refine the information down to that particular filter.
0:24:36 Nice and easy. This is great if we want to create a report for particular customers, um, for a particular subset of users, or something like that, great for that kind of capabilities.
0:24:47 And then we've got the ability to summarize. So we've got some basic metrics we can utilize here. So for example, I've already used count of rows.
0:24:57 We can do some of average of median cumulative sum loads of basic operations. Or you have the ability to create custom expressions as well.
0:25:06 So think of this as just formula based. Excel, if you familiar with that, you can create all of your formulas in here utilizing and referencing information from these particular columns.
0:25:18 So for example, I can go for summarize, custom expression, let's say count. And then can I get to that information?
0:25:31 If I start typing it pulls in that information from the data that we're utilizing. So you've got four capabilities over this.
0:25:40 In our particular case here, we were just doing count of rows. That will just give us one number, which is the total number of orders.
0:25:49 There we go, one big number. If we want to then split that out by month, we've got to give it some additional information, which is where we start to use this information over here.
0:25:57 So pick a column to group by. This will give us a long list of information that we've got available. and then I can sort this into however I want.
0:26:07 So in this case, I might go with created date, which has done, I know is one of our columns. And because it's a date, we can then organize it by a time metric.
0:26:19 So for this one, for example, let's say date. Excuse me. And then once we're happy, I can just get visualized.
0:26:28 And then it will show me those results in a visual way. And then of course we can go and change those visualization options if we wish to do so.
0:26:37 And that's it. Once I'm happy I can go ahead and save that. I can give it some details, I can save it to one of my personal collections just so I can keep our reports nice and organized.
0:26:48 And then I'll be able to reuse that report over and over and over again, whether it be in MetaBase or if we've got the relevant level of access we could view it and get information from within in figure as well.
0:27:07 Okay. So let's take a look at another couple of examples here just to see a little bit more detail. So let's go and have a look at our top 10 most ordered products.
0:27:29 So I'm going to dig into this and go to my editor and just show you the kind of difference we need to sort of do this kind of formatting.
0:27:41 So one of the key things to note here is that well, we've got top 10 most ordered products. This is going to require the merging or joining of a few different databases of information in order to get all of the information that we need.
0:27:57 And this is a critical thing that this tool can do. So, for example, the first bit of data I've picked there is the orderline information, which will have things included such as the product ID, the order ID, and other relevant information.
0:28:14 However, it won't have information such as the individual product names or actual order numbers or other things that we might utilize.
0:28:25 So we might need to join that information with one of our other databases. And this is done just using this join data button down here.
0:28:32 So you can just pick one of your databases and tables to connect to. And as you can see as a result here, I've connected this with the order database and it's automatically select is what is the relating information between the two so it knows how to link them up but you can change this manually if necessary
0:28:49 and it's done the same with my product information as well which is my product catalog and it's linked products ID in the order line database with ID in the product database.
0:29:01 Again, it's done it automatically but we can modify it if necessary. So now we've got all three blocks of those information in the context of the order line.
0:29:13 But that's going to give us an even bigger bunch of information that on the face of it, we're not going to be able to do much with without any post processing.
0:29:21 So this is where we can start to do more summary. So I haven't put any filters in this particular example, but we could filter if necessary.
0:29:29 Here we've got count and we've done it by particular product names. So basically we're counting the instances of the where the product name appears in this particular set of data, I've added a sort option so we can actually see which of the ones with the most counts and we can have that ascending or
0:29:54 descending and then I've applied a roll limit to it as well so we just get the top 10 and again this is all fully customizable and it's all just options as you are building out this report so they'll all appear at the bottom here If you want to filter, sort, join data, create custom columns, and whatever
0:30:12 else you need to do. As you can see when you're building these reports, it is just building a SQL query.
0:30:21 When you are using the editor, you won't be able to modify that SQL query, I don't think. But it is just showing it you there for context.
0:30:33 next. Okay. Give me one second. All right. Now, back to our final example here of the report building. I want to just show you the average time to ship metric, which I've been created, because this was a custom column, which was created because it required maybe some level of custom calculation.
0:31:08 So if I go, I've already forgotten what that was, average time to ship. Okay, this one here. Now it is just showing a single number but it is a report which is working in the background of this.
0:31:27 So if I go show editor. Now this is simple, but it is utilising a custom columns and mentions so we're just pulling in the order data, we don't need to join it with any of the data in this case.
0:31:41 It is just going to pull in certain information or utilize certain information from that table which is the created date and which is the shipped date which will be tracked within your infigo system.
0:31:54 And all we've actually done to calculate that required figure that we need is to actually create a custom column. We can create as many custom columns as we like, and all we're doing is creating that expression.
0:32:06 The same way we kind of look to that in terms of summary and that kind of thing, we're just creating a custom expression.
0:32:12 In terms of our time to ship, just to show you an example, we've used the function which is date time difference, so the time between two dates, and then we've specified creation date, shipping date, and the metric that we want to utilize are the unit that we want to utilize to do this by.
0:32:31 Now these are not unusual functions. So load information online about how to use these kind of functions and how to get them to operate successfully.
0:32:44 And also AI is a great tool for something like this. So if you specify that you need a formula to work in Metabase, which does this kind of calculation, it should give you a function which will allow you to make the relevant tweaks you need and then just get the information straight away.
0:33:04 Okay, so we've saved our custom column. That would give me on the face of it just a long list of time to ships but maybe I want an average or something like this.
0:33:15 So I've created first of all a filter so that if there is any information where the shipped state is empty so it's not shipped yet for example, or it wasn't recorded for some reason, we want to exclude any entry where the ship state was empty, which is fine, which is great.
0:33:32 So I can just say add shipped date. And then I can say he's not empty or screwed or if it's within the last month or something like that.
0:33:49 There's full customization over how you can do these reports so that will get rid of all the entries that were not interested in.
0:33:57 And then we can say that we want to average that column, which is time to shift, which is the one that we made manually.
0:34:03 And that will give us our figure that we're interested in. Great. Now I realize I'm talking a lot. If you do have any questions or suggestions, don't give Harris an easy time of it, so please do ask away.
0:34:21 I will keep talking away in the meantime. Right, another option that we have is SQL report template building. Now I mentioned this a little bit earlier on and I said that it does create your SQL code automatically as you're the capabilities in house, you can create these manually.
0:34:52 So if I go back to MetaBase, I can say new here, and if I've got those skills to create it from scratch, I can just go straight to create a SQL query.
0:35:03 Whoops, too big. I can go straight into create a SQL query, which is brilliant. However, let's say that I've used the reporting tools to make the vast majority of what I want, but I want to tweak it.
0:35:19 Or as I've done with my examples here, I want to utilize AI to actually generate that SQL code for me, using the information as a reference.
0:35:31 So this allows us to bypass that manual configuration process and add that additional complexity. As our example on this one, I want to look at logins resulting in orders.
0:35:48 Now where are you? Oh, there we go. This one log in for the order in orders. So as we can see as a result here, what we're actually getting is a gauge, which is showing us a percentage, but to create the actual gauge is just our visualization options.
0:36:10 So the same kind of things we showed before to do with the tables. What's operating in the background is just our basic SQL code, and it is just giving us a single figure as a return.
0:36:22 So if I go to Open Editor, for example, you won't see your reporting wizard on this particular one, as it is just using SQL code.
0:36:32 And the whole thing, that whole bit of information is being driven from the SQL code, and it's just referencing the different columns in the data sets that are being imported.
0:36:40 it. Now, this might make sense to some of you. If you've got skills, it might not to others. So, I do want to just give you a little bit of a taste of how you might get AI to help you with this kind of thing based on my own experience with this.
0:36:56 So, for example, if I go for new question and I'm going to put in or pull in a few bits, a few Let's go with product, let's go with customer.
0:37:38 Okay, so that's giving us loads of different information and loads of different columns and all of those available columns and all that information is be shown in that generated SQL code over on the right-hand side.
0:37:51 That is all the contextual information that you need, really. So if I go and just copy and paste that, and now I've got to try and think of an example at the top of my head.
0:38:06 So if I go create SQL code, and sharing the first name of all customers who have placed an order.
0:38:27 I'm making this up off the top of my head. Here's the contextual info. Okay, so, ultimately, I don't know whether that one is going to specifically work.
0:38:44 I made that up, but this is the kind of methodology I utilized to actually create the dashboard that you can see here with the ones that are SQL code.
0:38:55 So, for example, the one we saw here, that is AI generated based on that exact same approach, that same methodology.
0:39:12 I'll not wait for that. I'll carry on. But that's hint as to how you might be able to do that.
0:39:19 So next, I want to talk about custom dashboards. This will be quite quick as in how you actually create them from your reports that you've generated or your questions that you've generated.
0:39:36 It is really, really simple to create these. It's a very sort of dragon drop interface which is slick and easy to use.
0:39:45 So for example, if I go to a new dashboard up at the top here, put that in a December webinar.
0:40:07 I can see it's empty to begin with, but we've got different building tools available. So for a start, we've got the ability to create multiple tabs.
0:40:14 If we want to split the data out into different tabs, we've got the ability to put in headings and text.
0:40:20 If we want to put additional information in there, we can add links if we want to put links to URLs or whatever else in there, different sections.
0:40:29 We can pre-defined filters, which is a very useful thing. So for example, you want a global filter which would filter to a specific date range or something.
0:40:38 We can specify those. So for example, I can put one of those in. Let's go with time. Now I've got our date filter which we can specify some additional metrics on if we want to do so and then most importantly, we have the ability to put in our different reports.
0:40:58 So if I go to add questions, that will give me a list of all of the questions that I have available to use and it's simply just a case of clicking the ones you want.
0:41:12 However many of you there may be. And then dragging those around, moving them around into the layout that you want.
0:41:25 And it will basically just try and push as much to the top as it can do based on the sizing you give it.
0:41:30 And that is basically it. So there are different visualization options that you can accomplish. If you want to change the colors, if you want to change how the chart is visualized, you can do it on the individual reports as we saw before.
0:41:43 We can actually do more than we saw before, where you can control really, really detailed how this is viewed, how the axes are labeled, scaling that's utilized, that kind of thing.
0:41:56 You've got full control over all of those in there. And that is it basically for dashboard creation that's all you need to do you just need to save that and then all of that information from all of those different reports will be available for you.
0:42:20 Okay, this is a little a nice little feature, which I want to show you now, which is the meta-based email subscription.
0:42:29 So this applies to dashboards, and it gives you the ability to have subscriptions applied to them. So for example, let's say at the start of each week you want to email a certain set of metrics to your manager or something like this, or to finance or to whoever needs it, you can set up these subscriptions
0:42:52 . So you create your dashboard, you set up an email subscription where you put in the emails that are the recipients, you put in the sort of the frequency at which it needs to be sent, and that's basically all you need to do.
0:43:04 It will send that information out for you. There are great ways to keep the relevant people in the know with the particular information and pushes it straight to their inbox, rather than having to actually log into a platform and go and view it themselves, which as we know is one of those tasks that
0:43:21 will probably get pushed down the list and might ultimately stop being actioned. So doing this is very, very simple. So if I go to a dashboard which is not a word of rubbish, such as our December webinar one we've got.
0:43:46 All I want to do is go to this subscriptions option at the top of the page here, top right. You can put in recipients, you specify how often you want this to go, presumably not our way, you're to drive people mad.
0:44:05 Give it exact times that you want to go. You can send a test email if you want to. And if rather than you can put some filters in and you can attach specific results as CSV or Excel documents as well.
0:44:21 So particular reports, if you don't just want them to appear visually and you need them to have the specific data sets that are involved in it.
0:44:30 You can specify reports that will be attached and then it will send those bits of information. Right, 15 minutes should be good.
0:44:44 So digging deeper into your data. This is a very quick demonstration of this but just to show you how powerful it is.
0:44:56 Basically, if you, you might create a dashboard, which is quite high level information in just to give you the summary, but you need to dig into that in more detail.
0:45:03 You don't want to download the entire database and put it into Excel and do additional reporting on it. Because why would you?
0:45:11 Using insights and meta-base, you do have the ability to automatically drill into it any bit of information which is on here.
0:45:18 So, for example, if I want to look at a particular month here, let's say this one was particularly poorly performing, I can see that particular set of information, I can filter it in certain ways, or I can get automatic insights for later on this as well, in different ways.
0:45:38 So, for example, if I go for x-ray, that will give me loads of related bits of information just to give me a greater insight into that particular data set they're working at.
0:45:48 So for example, without me having to create any sort of manual report, it's given me country breakdown, it's given me orders over time, time of day, and this will change based on the information that you've selected and whether it's relevant to a particular format.
0:46:06 But I really like to dig down really, really easily without leaving any platform and without having to manually specify and manually dig into that information.
0:46:18 That makes sense. Okay, right. Next, I want to look at insights inside infigo admin. So for the time being, what we've been looking at mainly is in the actual meta-based instance itself.
0:46:37 Now we want to look inside in Figo admin, starting off with our standard reporting, so I'll show you where this is in a second, I'll navigate this to this on our storefront, but just to give you an overview of the capabilities of it, when you're looking at your standard reports or any reports that show
0:46:55 an inside in Figo admin, you are just downloading the raw data that's in the background. If it's not on a dashboard, it's not going to show you the nicely formatted graph or something like that.
0:47:07 When we're looking at reports, we are looking at raw data that's in the background. That implies for both standard reports and your custom ones later, further down the line.
0:47:22 Getting to these is nice and easy, so if I go to my storefront, insights, and then reports. Really simple interface.
0:47:47 We have a few different reports available. In my example here, I've got the six standard reports, which are at the top, and then a couple of example reports I've added, which require the higher tier.
0:47:59 But let's say, for example, I want to go get customer login information, or I'm doing a specifying a date range, if it's applicable to me, and then just downloading that information in the format that I want it.
0:48:10 Easy as that. Or if I go to order summary, I can do the same. I just instantly downloads that to my machine, and I'm able to open it in Excel, whatever else.
0:48:28 I need to view it. And again, that'll just be the entire data table. So, the default standard reports that we have available for you are hopefully ones which are very useful to you.
0:48:44 So we have customer login reports, we have customer reports which is showing sort of who registered and when, if they've got address information, their last login, their status, if you've deactivated them for example, just give you a summary of those, you've got sales information, so order summary details
0:49:04 and order line details. Again, big data set based on all the orders and order lines in two separate tables. Department reports, so just information on the different departments that you have available, and the settings that are associated with them.
0:49:19 It's not to do with the orders as such related to specific departments, and then product download report. So products with individual downloads, that's or downloadable products, if you have them on your stores.
0:49:36 And then we have our standard dashboards. So we have two of them available, accessed in the same place. So if you go to Insights and then dashboards, you see I've got a couple of custom ones here, try to utilize, but you will have the Insights B2B and the insights B to C.
0:49:58 Now as I mentioned on the standard ones you won't be able to modify these templates but they should show you a good range of information.
0:50:05 On the higher tiers you are able to modify these templates that we give you. Okay so on my platform which includes a lot of test storefronts and the academy it probably won't have a lot of useful information but it will Give you loads of relevant information on your different areas of your platform.
0:50:41 Okay, next, looking at the higher tiers. So if you need to add custom content to infego admin, so this is if you've actually created your custom reports, your custom dashboards, and you're trying to figure out how to actually make those appear in your admin area.
0:50:58 So this is done within MetaBase. Mine is an enterprise level meta-based, I believe. So it might be slightly different on the other tiers, but I think the functionality is pretty much the same.
0:51:13 this one second. So, we can create our own personal collection, which is, well, any report or any dashboard that we make, but we also have these pre-configured collections down here as well, which come shipped with your instance.
0:51:47 And this is custom. There's dashboards and there's standard. Now mine says training dot because my infigo platform that the academy on is called training dot infigo software dot com hence the training yours if you got this would have a different name based on your particular infigo platform.
0:52:08 And all What you're basically doing is these are folders, if you want reports to appear, you put them in the reports folder, if you want dashboards to appear, you put them in the dashboards folder.
0:52:18 All you're doing is moving them, or just generally creating them in those particular folders. And then that should be enough to push them to appear inside the system.
0:52:30 So for example, if I go to training.custom.reporting, you can see there I've got my two custom reports that I've added.
0:52:41 And again, I can dig into those in meta-base if I want to do so. It's a particular useful information to me.
0:52:47 But that also means I now have the ability to actually download those from here as well. So insights, ports, and then I can access those same two reports that are in that folder and just download the information directly.
0:53:15 Right. So a few minutes left, what I want to talk about now is permissions. So you might give different users different level of access to your platform or to your individual storefronts.
0:53:31 Maybe you don't want them all to be able to view or information, maybe some information should be restricted and limited, so we've got the ability to put permissions on these individual reports or questions and the dashboards that you create.
0:53:47 These are really really simple to input. If you go to Insights and Permissions, you've only got three tabs here if memory serves, yep, dashboards, questions and settings.
0:54:01 The only thing settings includes is whether the default access is allowed or denied. So your default state of I can get to them all or I can get to none.
0:54:11 And then you've got your individual dashboards and your individual question permissions. So for example, if I go to add permissions, I can specify which question or report I'm talking about.
0:54:26 Specify a customer role I want to relate this to. And this can be the predefined customer roles or it can be custom ones that you've created.
0:54:36 I guess let's say print operators and then we can say deny. So I don't want print operators to be able to access this particular report, for example.
0:54:48 Go to add and that's all you need to do. Easy as that. And you can create as many of those as you like for all of your different dashboards and your questions.
0:55:01 Now, a couple of extra notes, which Harrison kindly provided me for this one. So kind of peripherally, I'll say that related.
0:55:12 It is possible to create an insight-only view that can access the insights tab in admin without touching other parts of the system.
0:55:21 So basically, what we mean by this is you could create an access capability for some of your users, where nothing else can be seen.
0:55:29 So none of the editing tools, none of the shared print operation or anything like that, just the insights capabilities. We have got the ability to create that, but it's not something you'll be able to do by yourself.
0:55:40 If you need that, please do raise a support ticket and our support team can do it for you. It's also possible for enterprise users to actually be able to set custom permissions inside the meta-based environment itself.
0:55:54 I'm not going to cover that on the particular webinar, but there is guidance in the enterprise article, which is available on the infego academy.
0:56:03 Excuse me. I think this is the final thing. Might actually just about finish on time. So the final thing here is just if you want additional context.
0:56:13 So one of our developers kindly put together the insight schema, which looks terrifying, but does give you a good representation of how the information all connects together and what information is available within Insights.
0:56:29 And this is available to get from the Infigo Academy. So if I just go to the academy, search for Insights schema.
0:56:45 It's on the categories. And that will take us to, once I click another button, a separate page which will give us that interactive schema that we can go in and we can dig through.
0:56:57 So that shows you all the information that's contained and available within sites. Okay, now finally I'm just going back there to our insights subscription levels.
0:57:16 I've not got too much to say on it. I just wanted to show it again just so you've now got some additional context as to what the different things are that are available in the different tiers.
0:57:26 So for example, we've talked about our default reports and dashboards, which you have, which is available to everyone out of the box.
0:57:33 We have the ability to create some reports and create a few dashboards. Do our email subscription, that's in Pro. ProPost gives you the additional capability to write SQL manually or utilizing AI if you want to do so, and to modify the default reports and dashboards that we give you.
0:57:54 And then we have enterprise, which covers everything that we've shown today, plus more. And then again, we have the different limits associated with those.
0:58:07 OK, so I don't think we've had too much input until there's been a couple of things. But if you do have anything that you'd like to see in Insights, please do let us know, have your say, please put a message in or if you don't want a message now, contact support.
0:58:25 And if you've got any questions which you want to ask now about insights, please do ask those as well. Otherwise, that is about it for this particular webinar.
0:58:37 So, I hope this has been useful for you and given you a great oversight of insight into what insights can do for you.
0:58:46 Again, if you have more questions, contact support, or there is more resources on the academy if you want to see some examples as well.
0:58:53 Thank you very much for attending. the next webinar will be in around six weeks time and I think the next one might be a tech workshop, so it might be ran by Pablo and the like, which I think many of you might have attended before, but keep an eye out on your emails and notifications for that.
0:59:11 But thank you very much for attending, we'll stay on for a few minutes if you've got any more questions and we'll see you next time.
0:59:18 Thank you very much.
