How to Navigate Infigo Admin (Iframe Core) | COREIF_003

This quick guide shows you how to navigate the Infigo admin area so you can move around confidently in the tutorials that follow. It explains the two key navigation layers—the top header bar for help links and utilities (release notes, support/help desk, Infigo Academy, notifications, context indicator, switch storefront, clear cache, logout) and the left-hand admin menu where most configuration lives. You’ll also learn how the interface differs slightly between Platform Administrator and Storefront Administrator logins (mainly the presence of “Switch Storefront”), how to use the left menu search box to jump to areas faster, and what to do if a referenced admin section isn’t visible due to licensing or disabled features.

0:00 In this short guide, we're going to quickly show you how to navigate the Infigo admin area so you can find your way around confidently in every tutorial that follows.
0:09 When your environment is ready, the Infigo team will provide your login credentials. Depending on your setup, you may be given a Platform Administrator login, a Storefront Administrator login, or sometimes both.
0:20 For this demo, I'm going to show the admin interface using a Platform Administrator login.
0:26 If you're a Storefront Administrator, the layout will look almost identical once you're logged in. The main difference is that you won't see the Switch Storefront option on the top right of your window.
0:39 So, Infigo admin has two main navigation layers. The first is the top header bar. This gives you quick access to help, learning and a few important utilities.
0:51 The second is the left-hand admin menu. Which is where most of the configuration happens.
0:58 Once you know what lives where, it becomes much easier to follow future tutorials, especially as an iFrame customer, where you'll see a lot of areas inside of Infigo admin, but you'll only need to use a few of them day-to-day.
1:12 So, let's start with the top header bar. On the left-hand side, you'll typically see a cluster of links you can treat as your assistance area.
1:23 You have quick access to release notes. Which help you keep up-to-date with what's changed recently in the platform. You've also got access to our help desk and our support team, which is where you go when you need to submit tickets to our customer support team.
1:39 You also see a link back to the Infigo Academy. This is where these tutorials live. and you'll see notifications. These are alerts relevant to your environment and they're where important messages can appear whilst you are working.
1:52 Now over on the right-hand side of the header bar, you'll see our current account or context. This is your where am I indicator.
2:00 It's one of the simplest ways to stay confident that you're working in the right place. Next to that you may see switch storefront.
2:08 If you can see switch storefront, it's an indicator that you're operating with the platform level access and can move between storefronts.
2:15 If you can't see it, you're typically operating at a storefront administrator level with access to a single store. On that top right area, you'll also see clear cache.
2:25 Which is a useful utility if changes aren't appearing as expected straight away on the front end of your store when you make them in admin.
2:33 We'll cover that in later tutorials. And finally you'll see the logout option. The second navigation layer is the left-hand administration menu.
2:42 This is where most of the configuration happens. It's organized into sections that expand and collapse like a folder structure tree.
2:50 At the top of this menu you'll typically see a search box, and this is the fastest way to move around.
2:55 If you already have a rough idea of what you're looking for, searching here is usually quicker than clicking through the menus.
3:08 One important note, depending on your license and what has been enabled on your environment, you may not see every admin area straight away.
3:16 Some features can be disabled by default, so if a tutorial references an admin area you don't currently have access to and need access to, you can raise it with support.
3:26 And we can now confirm whether it's a licensing point or something that needs enabling. And that's it for this navigation overview.
3:33 Top header for Key Links and Utilities, and the left menu for Configuration. Next up, we'll use this navigation to start working with the first real building blocks that iframe customers typically need in Infigo Admin.
