Overview

The Infigo Assistant is built into your admin area. Click Ask AI in the top bar to open it, type a question the way you would ask a colleague, and it answers from the Infigo Academy: a short summary, the steps to follow, and links to the articles it used. There is nothing for you to install or configure. The Infigo Assistant is in beta, and your feedback helps us improve it.

What it does

  • Answers how-to questions - menu paths, button names and steps, e.g. How do I set up a fixed rate delivery charge?
  • Explains features and settings - what a setting does and when to use it, e.g. What does the Shown in Search Results setting do?
  • Helps you troubleshoot - describe what you see, e.g. Why can't my customers see a product I just created?
  • Shows its sources - answers list the Academy articles they came from, so you can open the full article with its screenshots and videos.
  • Keeps the conversation going - ask a follow-up and it remembers what came before, or click one of the suggested follow-up questions under the latest answer.
  • Saves your chats - come back to an earlier answer, search them by title, or delete the ones you no longer need.

Questions to try

  • What do I need to check before my storefront goes live?
  • How do I set up Stripe payments on my storefront?
  • How do I add a new admin user?
  • How do I create a discount code?
  • Can I set different prices for different customer groups? - then follow up with How would I do that for just one product?
  • What is the difference between a department and a customer roleFunctionality allowing different administrative capabilities to be given to users.?
  • How do I change the logo on my storefront?

Get better answers

  • Ask a full question. How do I set up a fixed rate delivery charge? works better than delivery.
  • Name the feature and what you want to achieve. Use the words you see on screen: menu names, setting names, button labels.
  • Be specific about what you mean. Where do I edit the wording of the email customers get when their order ships? is clearer than Where do I change the shipping email?, which could also mean the address it is sent to.
  • One topic per chat. Follow up in the same chat while you're on the same topic, and click New Chat when you move on.
  • Rephrase if the answer misses. If it answers a different question, ask again with more detail, then tell us with No so we can fix it.
  • Check the sources before you change something important. The source article has the full detail.

What it can't do

  • It can't see your storefront. It doesn't know your orders, products, customers or settings. Asked for your own figures, it may point you to the dashboard or report that has them, but it hasn't looked at your data.
  • It can't make changes. It tells you where to go and what to click; you make the change.
  • It answers in general. A setting it mentions may not be available to your login, or may need Infigo Customer Support to change it.
  • It only knows what the Academy covers. When a topic isn't documented it often says so, but it can also give an answer that is incomplete, wrong or off the point. Check the sources, and tell us with No and a comment: that is how missing topics reach the Academy.

Help us improve it

The Infigo Assistant is in beta. Under every answer, Was it useful? lets you click Yes or No. If you click No, say whether the information was outdated, or type what you expected to find (up to 1,000 characters). Your comment is sent to our team with the chat, so we can see exactly what you asked. We use it to correct answers and to add or update Academy articles where something is missing.

Good to know

  • Your chats are private to your login. They are saved against your own admin login, and you can delete any chat at any time. Deleting is permanent.
  • Other languages: you can ask in another language, such as French, and the answer comes back in that language.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + . opens and closes the panel, Ctrl + Shift + . starts a new chat, Ctrl + Shift + E expands the panel, and Esc closes it. The new-chat and expand shortcuts work while the panel is open.
  • Copy answer copies the answer as written, including formatting marks and the source markers.
  • If an answer fails, an error message appears with a Retry button. If it says Rate limit exceeded. Please try again later., wait a moment before clicking Retry.
TipNot sure where a setting lives? Ask Where do I find ...? with the setting's name. The answer gives the menu path, and the source link takes you to the full article.
Still need help? The Infigo Assistant answers from the Academy. For anything about a specific order, product or account, contact Infigo Customer Support as usual.

Before you begin

  • Who can use it: storefront and platform administratorA user with access rights to the Platform level of your Infigo area. logins have the Infigo Assistant by default. If you don't see Ask AI in your top bar, ask Infigo Customer Support to give your admin login access.
  • Nothing to install or configure: it works from any admin page, and the panel stays open as you move between pages.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the Infigo Assistant from the top bar

The Infigo Assistant opens from the Ask AI button in the top bar of the admin area, on the right, next to Clear cache. It has a sparkle icon and a Beta badge.

    1. Log in to your admin area. Any page will do.
    2. Click Ask AI in the top bar.

A panel opens on the right, headed Infigo Assistant with Chats at the top. The page you were on stays in view beside it, and the panel stays open, with your chat, as you move between admin pages, so you can follow an answer while you work. Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + . opens and closes the panel; Esc also closes it. If you don't see Ask AI, ask Infigo Customer Support to give your admin login access to the Infigo Assistant.

  2. Type your question and press Enter

The panel opens on a welcome screen that says How can I help you today?.

    1. Click the Ask anything... box.
    2. Type your question as a full sentence, for example How do I set up a fixed rate delivery charge?
    3. Press Enter, or click the round arrow button. Use Shift + Enter if you want a new line inside your question.

Three dots show while it is working; the answer usually appears within a few seconds. Full questions that name the feature and what you want to achieve get better answers than single keywords: see Get better answers on the Overview tab.

Type a full question, press Enter

Type a full question, press Enter
  3. Read the answer

Your question appears on the right and the answer below it. For a how-to question the answer is usually a short summary followed by numbered steps, with menu paths and button names in bold (for example Configuration > Delivery > Delivery Computation).

    1. Scroll the panel to read the whole answer.
    2. The small numbers in grey circles show which source each part of the answer comes from. Most of them match the numbered Sources list in step 4, which shows up to five articles; occasionally a number refers to a source beyond those five.

Answers are generated from the Academy, so they describe the platform in general rather than your own storefront. Follow them in your admin area, and check the source article if something does not match what you see.

Step-by-step answer; small numbers = sources

Step-by-step answer; small numbers = sources
  4. Open the sources to read the full article

Under each answer is a Sources button with a count (for example Sources 4).

    1. Scroll to the end of the answer.
    2. Click Sources. The list opens and shows the Academy articles the answer was based on, up to five.
    3. Click an article title. It opens in a new browser tab, so your chat stays where it is.

Use the sources when you need the full detail: screenshots, videos and every setting on a page. The answer is a summary of these articles. If an article opens on This content is not available, it is no longer published: rely on the answer, and tell us with No (step 6) so we can fix it.

  5. Ask a follow-up question

Below the latest answer, Follow-up questions suggests a few related questions.

    1. Click one of the suggestions to ask it straight away, or
    2. type your own follow-up in the Ask anything... box at the bottom of the panel and press Enter.

The Infigo Assistant remembers the earlier questions and answers in the same chat, so a follow-up such as How would I do that for just one product? is understood without repeating the whole question. Suggestions only appear under the latest answer, and not when you reopen a saved chat (step 11); you can still type a follow-up there. Start a new chat (step 9) when you move on to a different topic.

Click a suggestion, or type your own follow-up

Click a suggestion, or type your own follow-up
  6. Tell us whether the answer was useful

At the bottom of every answer is Was it useful? with Yes and No buttons, and a Copy answer icon on the right (two overlapping squares).

    1. Click Yes if the answer helped. That's all: the label changes to say thank you.
    2. Click No if it didn't. A short question opens (step 7).
    3. Click the Copy answer icon to copy the answer, for example to paste into your own notes or a support ticket. It copies the text as written, including formatting marks such as ** and the source markers.

The Infigo Assistant is in beta, and this feedback is how we find answers that are wrong and topics the Academy doesn't cover yet. You can give one No per chat: it applies to the answer you click it under, and after that the No buttons in that chat do nothing.

  7. Say whether the information was outdated

After you click No, a box asks Was the information outdated?.

    1. Click Yes, it's outdated if the answer describes screens, menus or settings that have changed. Your feedback is sent straight away.
    2. Click No for any other problem, such as a wrong or incomplete answer, or a question it couldn't answer. A comment box opens (step 8).

Yes, it's outdated - or No for any other issue

  8. Tell us what was missing, then submit

The Give us feedback box opens. Your comment is sent to our team together with the chat, so you don't need to repeat the question.

    1. Type what you expected to find, in a sentence or two (the box stops at 1,000 characters). For example: The answer did not mention delivery charges by weight, which is what I needed.
    2. Click Submit Feedback. Click Cancel to close the box without sending anything. If the box is empty, Submit Feedback sends nothing, so always add a comment.

The most useful feedback names what you were trying to do and what was missing or wrong. We use it to correct answers and to add missing topics to the Academy.

Say what you expected - then Submit Feedback

  9. Start a new chat for a new topic

Each chat keeps its own history, and follow-up questions use it. When you change topic, start a fresh chat so the earlier answers don't steer the new one.

    1. Click the New Chat icon (a pencil on a square) at the top of the panel, or press Ctrl + Shift + . while the panel is open. When the chat list is showing (step 11), you can also click New Chat at the top of the list.

The welcome screen opens again. Your previous chat is saved (step 11).

  10. Know what the Infigo Assistant can't see

The Infigo Assistant answers from the Infigo Academy. It can't see your storefront: your orders, products, customers or settings. It also can't change anything for you. Ask it How many orders did I receive last week? and it may say it can't work that out from the documentation, or it may point you to the dashboard or report where you can find the figure. Either way, it has not looked at your data.

    • For figures about your own store, use your dashboard and the reports in your admin area.
    • Answers describe the platform in general. A setting it mentions may not be available to your login, or may need Infigo Customer Support to change it.
    • For a problem with a specific order, product or account, contact Infigo Customer Support. You can paste the answer you got (Copy answer, step 6) into your ticket.

It reads the Academy, not your store's data

  11. Expand the panel to find an earlier chat

Your chats are saved to your own admin login, so you can come back to an answer later.

    1. Click the Expand icon (two arrows pointing left) at the top of the panel, or press Ctrl + Shift + E while the panel is open. The panel widens and the Chats list appears on its left, newest first. Each chat gets a short title, usually a summary of its topic such as Fixed Rate Delivery Setup; a brand-new chat may show its question until then.
    2. Type a word in the Search box at the top of the Chats list (not Menu Search... in the admin sidebar) to filter the list by chat title. (It searches titles only, not the questions and answers inside.)
    3. Click a chat to open it.

Click the same icon again (now two arrows pointing right) to shrink the panel. You can also see your chats without expanding: at the top left of the narrow panel, click Back (when a chat is open) or Chats (on the welcome screen).

  12. Delete a chat you no longer need
    1. In the Chats list, hover over a chat. When it was last used (for example Today) and a bin icon appear on the right.
    2. Click the bin icon.
    3. A box asks Delete Conversation?. Click Delete to confirm.

Deleting is permanent: the chat and all its messages are removed and can't be restored.
