Storefront GO-LIVE Checklist

You have spent time on your new web-to-print storefront, tweaking the look of the site, creating and changing products, and you are now ready to go live.

Before you go, we suggest reading through this list to ensure you have covered all bases before switch the storefront Status to Live.

Step through the following points, ensure the site functions as you would expect:

Customer Requirements

1.      What kind of access will end-users have to the site?

  1. Is the site login only? i.e. closed storefront
  2. Is the site open to all but login required for purchases?
  3. Is the site open to all and guests allowed to purchase?
    1. There are four registration methods to gain access found in Configuration > Settings > Customer Settings > Registration:
      1. Standard – user simply registers and can access the site with no further action
      2. Disabled – the site can be logged in via SSO (SAML is supported, this is not supported with CAS) or the admin gives access directly (B2B usually use this)
      3. Email Validation – the user signs up and gets an email confirmation, they need to click the link in the email to activate the account
      4. Admin Approval – the user signs up and an administrator will approve or reject the account
  4. You can also manually add customers.

2.      Will users be assigned to departments?

  1. Departments are a tool in Infigo to group customers together. Departments can allow for the following:
    1. Shared Address Books per department
    2. Department Relationships (User A is part of Business Department, and so is User B, however User C is part of Accounting and cannot interact with the Business Department)
    3. Specific access to certain parts of the site otherwise inaccessible to other departments
      1. These areaccess permissions. You can restrict users who are part of the Business Department to only products/categories in the site that are assigned to the Business Department. Otherwise you can have no access permissions and ALL users will have access to everything.

3.      Will there be approval workflow?

  1. Approval workflow is simple, there is an approver and an approvee.
    1. The approver will be assigned to one or more end users. End users can have a max of (3) approvers assigned to them.
    2. Approvers and approvee's must belong to the same department (if the site is set to department relationships)
  • This allows for approvers to approve of orders to a user they are assigned to. They can also reject an order if needed. End users are then notified that the order either 1) is approved or 2) is rejected

You can also have it setup to be that every approver can approve a job, this means they do not have to be assigned to user, and must only have the Approver Role.

To read more about workflow approval please check out this article.

Product Requirements

  1. You need to first create a product, then you can assign it a type or leave it as a NOP.
  2. There are different product types available in Infigo, they are Static, Infigo Variable (PDF Variable Templates), Dynamic (MegaEdit Editor), and MultiPart (uploadable PDF)
  3. You can also change the appearance of the landing pages in this article: ‘Landing Page Template’,

1. Product Groups

Product groups allow the admin to group similar products together that share the same price and attributes. This can save considerable time when setting up the storefront. To create a group, go to Catalogue > Products > Product Groups. Press Add New. Everything that a product variant can do a product group can do. Please see this article on Product Variants

Product Organisation

What categories are products going to be a part of?

  1. When the user enters the site, what is the first touch-point they should be interacting with? Are there going to be a list of products on the landing page? Will there be categories they can directly access that have product within them?
  2. For example, there is a ‘Business’ Category. The user selects ‘Business’ and then is shown ‘Stationary’, ‘Letterheads’ and ‘Business Card’. Each sub category can then have their own products. Each sub category can then also have another category within. So, in ‘Business Card’ there can be ‘Licensed Business Cards’ and ‘Unlicensed Business Cards’.

The hierarchical structure would look like this:

Change Store Name and URL

These options would be used in the event your organisation changes its name and needs to be updated on your storefront for example.

*When changing anything to do with store URL or link it is a best practice to do it on the Platform level first*

Navigate to Configuration > Storefront Management

Find the entry you wish to edit

mceclip0.png

(By default there will be a portal name and a Platform account but your storefront will appear below these)

Click the Edit on the right side of the page and you can change the path name, for example:

https://example.com/path

If this has been changed click "Update" where the Edit button was and then "Clear Cache" in the top-right of the page

Next go to the storefront you have just edited and navigate to Configuration > Settings > General Settings

mceclip1.png

Here you can change the name as it appears on the browser tab and the URL as it appears on Infigo. Best practice would be to update your Search Engine Optimisation settings  to reflect the new changes (Configuration > Settings > SEO Settings)

How Do I Resolve Sitemap URL and Namespace Errors?

This article explains how to address common sitemap issues such as invalid relative URLs and missing XML namespaces. These issues typically occur when sitemap entries are not fully qualified and proper namespace definitions are missing.

When a sitemap contains relative URLs (for example, a URL like /FAQs) or an incorrectly declared XML namespace, search engines like Google may reject the sitemap submission. It is important to ensure that all URLs are fully qualified with the complete domain and that the XML is correctly structured.

The primary cause of these issues can be linked to the handling of canonical URLs and language culture settings in the system. In particular, blog posts or FAQ pages may show unqualified URLs if a canonical URL is specified incorrectly. Updating or removing the canonical URL can allow the system to automatically generate a fully qualified URL.

Use cases

  • Submitting a sitemap to Google Search Console and encountering URL errors
  • Blog posts or FAQ pages showing relative URLs in the sitemap
  • Errors related to missing or incorrect XML namespace declarations

Key settings in Infigo

  • Canonical URL: Located in the blog post or page editor under the SEO settings
  • Sitemap Generation: Verify settings in the Sitemap plugin to ensure correct URL formatting
  • Language Culture: Check the settings that affect how URLs are rendered based on language or location

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to your admin panel and navigate to the affected blog post or FAQ page.
  2. Locate the SEO section where the canonical URL is set.
  3. Ensure the canonical URL is a fully qualified URL (e.g. https://www.example.com/FAQs) rather than a relative URL.
  4. If you choose to remove the canonical URL, the system will automatically generate a full URL for you.
  5. Save your changes and regenerate your sitemap.
  6. Resubmit the updated sitemap to Google Search Console.
  7. Monitor the Search Console for any further errors.

How do I Install a New Language to your Storefront?

You need your Infigo storefront to display in a language that is not currently installed or active. You go to Admin > Configuration > Languages (sometimes referred to simply as the “Languages” list) and see the language listed as inactive or with an “Install Language” button—but you’re unsure how to enable it so it appears live on your storefront.

2. Installing and Activating a New Language

  1. Log in to your Infigo Admin Area.

    • Make sure you have the correct admin permissions to modify language settings.
  2. Access the “Languages” List.

    • Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Languages (naming may vary slightly depending on your Infigo version).
  3. Check if the Language Is Already Installed.

    • If the language is not installed, you should see a button labeled “Install Language” next to it.
  4. Install the Desired Language.

    • Click “Install Language” for your desired language. This queues the language pack for installation.
  5. Wait for an Infigo Deployment.

    • After clicking “Install Language,” the platform typically requires a scheduled deployment to finalize the language installation.
    • Tip: You’ll usually see a note at the top of the Languages page informing you that the new language will be available after the next deployment
    • ⚠️ Please note that our deployment schedule is once per week ⚠️
  6. Verify Installation & Publish/Enable.

    • After the deployment, check back in Admin > Configuration > Languages. Your new language should show as installed.
    • Click "Edit" next to your desired languge and set the "Published" option on the subsequent screen.
    •

3. Troubleshooting & Common Questions

  1. “Install” Button is Not Clickable or Language Shows as Not Installed

    • Ensure you have admin permissions to modify languages.
    • Try logging in as a platform administrator.
    • Verify with our Support Team that a deployment hasn’t already been queued. Sometimes the button remains inactive while the process is pending.
  2. Language Still Not Available After ‘Install’

    • Wait for the next scheduled deployment or overnight sync.

How Do I Resolve an Invalid platform URL Error When Creating a Storefront?

If you encounter the error message 'Invalid platform URL. The platform URL is not correctly configured.' while creating a new storefront in Infigo, it is likely due to an incorrectly formatted URL within General Settings. This article explains how to resolve the issue by ensuring the correct format is used.

The Platform URL must include the full protocol prefix (i.e. https://) to be accepted by the system. This requirement was introduced following a platform update to improve URL validation and security.

Once the correct format is applied, the error will no longer appear and you will be able to create new storefronts successfully.

Key settings in Infigo

  • Platform URL: Navigate to Configuration > Settings > General Settings > Storefront URL

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to your Infigo Admin account with Platform Admin privileges.
  2. Switch storefront and choose the Platform level
  3. Go to Configuration > Settings > General Settings > Storefront URL.
  4. Ensure the URL includes the full protocol prefix. For example, instead of yourstore.infigosoftware.com/, it should be https://yourstore.infigosoftware.com/.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.
  6. Retry creating the new storefront. The error should no longer appear.

How Do I Switch between B2B and B2C storefronts?

Infigo allows the administrator to specify whether a storefront is protected by login (B2B) or open to the public to view all the full catalogue (B2C)

The change is a simple adjustment to each storefront.

Admin > Configuration > Settings > Customer Settings

Locate the setting Closed Store: Login Required. Tick this box if you wish to enforce B2B functionality. Leave it unticked if you wish to allow users to browse the store without login.

mceclip1.png

You may also wish to change the registration method. B2B sites generally do not allow registration. From the drop down list Registration Method select Disabled and the registration form will be removed.

Save all changes

What you need to know about the Storefront Status: Test Mode

When creating a new storefront it will be launched in "Test Mode". You will see a reference to this in Storefront Management and when logged in with your Platform Account, you'll see it alongside the storefront name on "Current Storefront".

Here is an example from one of our Infigo Training platforms:

Test Mode:

  • allows you to build your storefront in a "testing" environment before going to live
  • means you can easily remove test data (orders, users, etc) before moving to live
  • gives you and your colleagues a clear indication as to which storefronts are live, and which need more work before they're ready for external use.

Clearing Test Data

When updating a storefront status to Live, you will be given the option to "Clear Test Data":

You will be advised on the impact of doing this - "Are you sure you want to clear test data for your account? This will remove all test customers and orders from this storefront, the action cannot be undone.".

If you want to review users before clearing test data... here's how:

  • go to Customer Management and click Edit on the customer you wish to keep after clearing test data. If the user does not have an admin role then you will have the option to Convert to Live (admin users will be 'live' by default).
  • if you don't want to keep the user when you change storefront status, then don't convert them to live and they will be removed when you clear test data.

When you're ready to clear test data (in Storefront Management), you simply click the button on the right hand side. Please make sure you're on the correct storefront before confirming - this change cannot be undone.

The process will begin after you confirm you are sure you want to clear test data for your account. The process will show in the bottom right corner and once complete you'll get downloads of test orders (for your records).

Switching Storefront Status to Live

So, you've cleared your test data and now you're ready go change the storefront status to Live.

  • Once again, you need to go to Storefront Management and find the storefront you want to update.
  • Click on Edit on the right hand side
  • Choose Live from the Status dropdown and click Live

  • Then click on Update

How Do I Add Meta Title, Keywords and Description?

Metadata is data (information) that provides information about other data.

Metadata will not be displayed on the page but is machine parsable so can be used by browsers, search engines or other web services to understand more about the page they are displaying.

The common meta tags use on web pages and those supported in Catfish are Description and Keywords.

Description:

Sometimes used by search engines as the descriptive black text in the search result listing, meta descriptions can help increase the customer click through in search results but will not necessarily impact rankings directly.

Keywords:

Although Meta keywords ceased to impact rankings in 2009, people still use them, albeit with caution.

Title Tags:

Title tags are still the single most important piece of metadata on the page.

The best title tags begin with the most relevant keywords, product name, or article name and end with the name of the site

To set these up on your Catfish storefront you have a number of options.

Storefront wide:

Under Configuration > Settings > General and Miscellaneous Settings : SEO settings tab, you have a number of options to configure.

Page title separator is as the name suggests the the character (or series of characters) that you wish to use to separate your page titles.

Default title will appear as the page title on ALL your website pages, so think carefully before adding text here.

Default meta keywords will get appended as the keyword meta data your ALL your website pages.

Default meta description will get appended as the meta description on ALL your website pages.

Home Page Meta Title allows you to set the page title for just your websites home page. A new setting we added recently in order to provide you with more flexibility.

Home Page Keywords are keywords, again that you can setup just for your website homepage

Home Page Description is the description that you can write that will only populate the home page meta description

As well as these default SEO settings, you will also find a SEO tab on your category pages, product pages and topic pages that give you complete control over the meta data that gets used on each of your pages.

To note: If you do not want the same meta data to be used on all your pages then leave the Default entries blank. Enter in the text for your homepage and then ensure that each of your product, category and topic pages have custom entries for Title, Keyword (if you wish to use it) and Description.

How Do I Configure OAuth Authentication for SMTP Email?

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Email Accounts.

  2. Edit an existing email account or create a new one.

  3. Select OAuth 2.0 Authentication and enter the required credentials.

  4. Send a test email to confirm token-based authentication works.

How do I configure localisation for the Date Picker calendar?

The datepicker component is now fully localisable, allowing translated day and month names and flexible date formats.
This ensures a consistent, region-specific experience for international storefronts.

Highlights

  • Localized day and month names

  • Customizable date formats per language

  • Applies across checkout and My Account forms

  4. Save and verify translations appear in the storefront datepicker.

Why is my site loading slowly and external stock levels not displaying via an integrated system?

This article explains how to diagnose and resolve issues where product pages load slowly and external stock levels are not displayed in the storefront.

It is based on a resolved case where the integration failed to retrieve an authentication token from the external stock system after a network change. The guidance below walks through structured checks to quickly isolate whether the issue lies with configuration, connectivity, or endpoint changes.

Before escalating, complete the checks outlined below and collect supporting evidence (HAR files, screenshots, connector settings) to assist investigation.

Use Cases

  • Product pages take significantly longer than normal to load.

  • External stock levels do not display on product pages.

  • The Add to Basket button is disabled or unavailable.

  • The issue began after a broadband, firewall, or network infrastructure change.

  • One storefront works correctly while another does not.

Key Settings to Review

  • Connect Plugin – API URL
Confirm the endpoint used to contact the external stock service.

  • Connect Plugin – Credentials
Verify the application ID/email/password used to request an authentication token.

  • Handle Stock Setting
Ensure the product or connector setting instructs the system to use the external connector for stock handling.

  • Storefront Connector Mapping
Confirm the connector is enabled for the affected storefront.

  • Connection Test / Integration Logs
Use the built-in test function to attempt token retrieval and review any error responses.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide

1. Confirm the Symptom

Open an affected product page and observe:

  • Page load time

  • Whether stock appears

  • Whether Add to Basket is enabled

Document the behaviour.

2. Capture Browser Evidence

  • Generate a HAR file from the browser Network tab.

  • Check the Console tab for JavaScript errors.

  • Capture screenshots showing missing stock or disabled purchase controls.

3. Compare Working vs Non-Working Storefronts

If another storefront is functioning correctly:

  • Compare connector assignment

  • Compare API URL configuration

  • Compare stock handling flags

Differences here often identify misconfiguration.

4. Test the Connector

Use the Connect plugin’s Test Connection feature.

Expected outcome:

  • A successful authentication token is returned.

If the response is null, empty, or errors:

  • The integration cannot reach the external service

  • The endpoint may be incorrect

  • Credentials may be invalid

5. Verify the API Endpoint

If token retrieval fails, confirm:

  • The external stock system’s public address has not changed.

  • The connector is not pointing to an outdated IP address.

  • The correct hostname or current public IP is configured.

In the referenced case, the external system’s public IP changed following a network migration, and the connector continued referencing the previous address. Updating the API URL resolved the issue.

6. Confirm Network and Firewall Rules

If the endpoint is correct but connection still fails:

  • Confirm outbound traffic from the integration environment is not blocked.

  • Confirm inbound firewall rules on the external system allow requests from the integration server.

  • Verify no recent security rule changes were introduced.

Firewall allowlisting may be required depending on hosting setup.

7. Prefer DNS Over Raw IP (Best Practice)

If the external stock system is hosted on a connection where public IPs may change:

  • Use a stable DNS hostname rather than a fixed IP address.

  • This reduces risk of future outages following ISP or infrastructure changes.

8. Re-Test End-to-End

After configuration changes:

  1. Re-run the connector test.

  2. Reload a product page.

  3. Confirm:

    • Stock loads promptly

    • Add to Basket is enabled

    • No console/network errors appear

9. When Escalating to Support

Provide:

  • Product URLs

  • HAR files

  • Console logs

  • Screenshots

  • Connector configuration (obscure passwords)

  • Details of any recent network or ISP changes

Including this information significantly reduces investigation time.

Summary of Confirmed Root Cause (From Resolved Case)

In the validated incident:

  • The external stock system’s public IP changed following a network migration.

  • The Connect plugin API URL still referenced the previous IP.

  • The system could not retrieve an authentication token.

  • Updating the endpoint resolved both slow loading and missing stock display.

How to configure your DNS for your Infigo Storefront

Lets assume you have an account with a hosting provider where your domain has been purchased, and your SSL certificate and now you need to point this custom domain to your Infigo storefront.

You have already raised a ticket with our Support team to request a new SSL certificate for a custom URL or sub domain and Infigo has done everything to set this up for you... to a certain point.

Once we have done our work, we will provide you with three bits of information that you will then need to take and configure this against your domain DNS.

1) A load balancer link which we will call a CNAME

2) And two IP addresses

To finish the setup, login to your account with the provider whom you have purchased the domain (URL).

Navigate to your domain and click on 'Manage DNS' (the wording may be different in different providers but look for the place where you can manage your DNS for your specified URL)

1. Click on 'Add Record'

2. Where it asks for a type select 'CNAME'

3. Where it asks for Host Name or Name you need to either put the value for the root (which is usually either * or @ but depends on your provider) if you are applying this on a full URL (www.yourURL.com)

Or in the Host Name field put the subdomain value (anything before the first . - .e.g. if you URL will be infigo.yourURL.com then put in here 'infigo')

4. For the Value, paste in the value provided from our support team which should start with a prefix followed by word 'loadbalancer'

Repeat this step 2 more times for the IP addresses we also shared with you, but:

2. Where it asks for a type select 'A' or 'A Record'

3. This should always be the symbol for the root of the domain even if you are setting up a sub  domain (either '*' or '@')

4. For the Value, paste in one of the IP addresses we provided you (this should be in the format of 4 numbers separated by a . e.g. 99.999.999.999)

Once you have set this up you then need to be patient and wait for this new configuration to take effect. Some providers allow you to set a TTL value against each entry you have created above which stands for 'Time To Live' so if you can control this and want it to take affect sooner then set this to the lowest value possible (usually 1 hour).

If you want both the www. and non-www new bindings to work;

Please make sure you have set up your DNS to work for both non-www and www when adding your DNS records.

You will essentially have to have two DNS entries

- One for the root domain (using the two A records)

- And one for the www subdomain using the CNAME and two A records

How do I Track Add-to-Cart Events and Marketing Tags in Infigo

This article answers common questions about implementing marketing tracking and verification tags on an Infigo storefront.

Specifically, it covers:

  • How to track Add-to-Cart clicks using Google Tag Manager

  • Why a TagServe tag may not fire

  • Why an Affiliate Window tag might fail

  • Where to add a Google Search Console verification tag

Because Infigo supports multiple product types and purchase flows, the implementation details may vary depending on how the storefront has been configured.

Tracking Add-to-Cart Clicks

In Infigo, there is no single universal Add-to-Cart button selector.

Different product flows use different buttons, meaning your tracking implementation may need to target multiple selectors.

Common examples include:

.nextStepButton
.productvariantaddtocartbutton
.multipartUi-V2-Footer button.button

These selectors correspond to different product types and checkout flows.

Important

These selectors are examples from common implementations.
Storefront templates and product flows can vary, so the exact selector required may differ between sites.

When configuring Google Tag Manager triggers, test your storefront to confirm which selector matches the Add-to-Cart button being used.

Tracking Add-to-Cart for MegaEdit Products

MegaEdit products may use a confirmation dialog when adding an item to the basket.

In these cases, the confirmation button may be targeted with a selector similar to:

div[aria-describedby="ngConfirmDialog"] .ui-dialog-buttonpane button:first-of-type

However, this selector may not work on every storefront, as MegaEdit implementations can differ depending on how the template is built.

If the confirmation button cannot be reliably targeted, a custom script or unique element identifier may be required.

Tracking Scripts Inside MegaEdit

In some storefront configurations, global tracking scripts added to the page header are not loaded inside MegaEdit editable content blocks.

If tracking is required within MegaEdit content:

  • the tracking snippet may need to be added directly inside the editable content block

  • this depends on how the MegaEdit template is implemented

TagServe Tags

If a storefront reports that a TagServe tag is not firing, note that TagServe is not recognised as a built-in feature within the Infigo platform.

To investigate further, gather additional information such as:

  • what system or platform the tag belongs to

  • how the tag was added (for example via GTM or custom script)

  • where the tag was implemented

  • any console or network errors

This information will help determine the cause of the issue.

Affiliate Window Tracking

Affiliate tracking platforms may use URL query parameters to identify referrals.

Example format:

?affiliateid=2

If an Affiliate Window tag is reported as failing, it is important to collect more details before investigation, such as:

  • the exact error or behaviour being observed

  • whether the affiliate parameter appears in the URL

  • how the affiliate tracking script has been implemented

  • any browser console or network errors

Some affiliate tracking implementations may require custom configuration or front-end development depending on the provider.

Google Search Console Verification

To verify ownership of a storefront in Google Search Console, a verification meta tag must be added to the site.

There are two common methods in Infigo.

Global verification

Add the verification meta tag to the page header container in Infigo settings.
This applies the verification tag across the entire storefront.

Page-specific verification

Verification tags can also be added through SEO settings within the Admin area for:

  • pages

  • categories

  • products

  • content pages

How do I change the Default Store Language?

This article will show you how to change the storefront's default language. For this article's example, the default language will be changed from "English" to "Deutsch".

Publish the new default language

Before you can change the default language, you need to ensure that the new default language is published. To do this, navigate to "Configuration > Languages".

As you can see, the "Published" column is set to "False" for "Deutsch", meaning that it is not published.

To publish "Deutsch", you need to:

mceclip2.png

  1. Click "Edit"
  2. Check "Published"
  3. Click "Save"
    mceclip3.png

Set the default language

To set the default language, you simply need to ensure it is the first language available by giving it the lowest display order.

The display order will load the lowest number first, and so you need to make sure that the new default language - Deutsch in this example -  has the lowest display order. An easy way to do this is to set the display order to -1, and save.

How do I add Blogs to my store?

A Blog is a great way to connect with your existing customers, keeping them informed about the latest product offerings or educating them, as well as to find new customers. It's also a great way to generate rich, engaging and relevant content for your SEO ranking.

Adding new blog posts

To manage blog posts go to Content Management → Blogs → Blog posts.

Click Add New and fill in the information about a new blog post.

  • Enter the Title of this blog post.

  • Enter the Short description of this blog post which will show with the thumbnail on the homepage.
  • Enter the Body text of this blog post using the rich editor or style using HTML.

  • Select the  checkbox, to display the previous/next blog as a link based on the settings you created for your blog post.
  • Select the  checkbox, to display the blog image thumbnail as a link.

Click Save.

Making blog posts appear on your storefront.

To show blog comments on the storefront you would need to create a link in your Top Menu/nav by using /blog - this will house all the blog posts that you set as published.

You may be required to add a module to the layout of your page to have *Featured blogs appear on the homepage or the page you wish the blogs to appear. Please see below for adding the module using the layout manager.

How do I manage Storefront Currency?

In this article we will show you how to manage the available currencies on your storefront, and we'll walk you through how to add a currency selector to your header with Editable Content.

How To

In Admin, go to Configuration > Currencies. You will see a list of prepopulated currency options that you can use on your Infigo Storefront.

You can easily change the default currency and add as many currency options as you like with the options above.

After ticking "mark as primary exchange rate currency" you can amend the rate by clicking on Edit and setting a new custom rate here:

Once you have made your changes, click Save in the top right corner of the screen.

Adding a Currency Selector to your Storefront

Prices on your store will use the primary store currency (as set in Configuration > Currencies - see above), but if you have selected more than one currency, then you will want to add a drop-down option to your storefront so the end user can select which currency they want to use.

In Admin, go to Content Management > Editable Content and in the first section (General) you'll see the Header content. Please click "Edit".

Click the Gear/setting icon

On the Popup, Change the setting 'Show Language and Currency Selectors' to 'Currency' (or 'Both' if you also want a language selector to show)

Once you have done this please save your changes (top right corner of the screen).

Now when you go to the Public Store (front end of the site), you will see a Currency dropdown menu under 'My Account'

How can I use Jotform on my storefront?

Jotform is not a native feature within Infigo. Instead, it is embedded using standard HTML embed code provided by Jotform.

Infigo supports this through:

  • Content Templates

  • Embed elements within layouts

The Embed element acts as a container where you can paste external code, including:

  • Jotform embed scripts

  • iframes

  • tracking scripts (e.g. Google Analytics)

How to Embed a Jotform

Step 1: Get Your Jotform Embed Code

  1. Log in to your Jotform account

  2. Open the form you want to embed

  3. Click Publish

  4. Copy the Embed code (typically iframe or script-based)

Step 2: Add an Embed Element in Infigo

  1. Go to Admin → Content Templates

  2. Open the template or page layout you want to edit

  3. Add an Embed element to your layout

Step 3: Paste the Jotform Code

  1. Open the Embed element settings

  2. Paste your Jotform embed code into the field

  3. Save your changes

Step 4: Apply the Template

  1. Assign the Content Template to a page (if not already applied)

  2. Save and publish your changes

  3. Navigate to the page on your storefront to confirm the form displays correctly

Where to Find an Example

Every newly created Infigo storefront includes a sample Jotform embedded by default.

You can find this here:

  • Go to Admin → Content Pages

  • Open the “Contact Us” page

This page contains a working example of a Jotform embed, showing:

  • how the embed code is used

  • how it appears on the storefront

This is a useful reference when setting up your own forms.

Using Jotform in Content Templates

Jotform embeds are most commonly used within:

  • Contact pages

  • Lead capture forms

  • Support request forms

  • Custom landing pages

Because Content Templates are reusable, you can:

  • embed the same form across multiple pages

  • create different templates for different forms

Additional Notes

  • Jotform embeds rely on external scripts, so ensure your embed code is valid and complete

  • Styling and behaviour are controlled by Jotform unless overridden with custom CSS

  • You can use the same Embed element method to add other third-party tools (e.g. Google Analytics)

How Do I Configure LLM Content for AI Search Visibility?

Infigo includes an LLM Content setting that allows you to define how your storefront is presented to AI-powered search tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

This content is exposed via a public endpoint:

/llms.txt

This works similarly to a robots.txt file, but is designed specifically for AI and LLM indexing.

Where to Configure

Navigate to:

Admin → Configuration → Settings → SEO Settings → General

Enter your content in the LLM content field and click Save.

Please Note: there is no character/word limit, we leave that to the responsibility of the customer. If the customer wants to change the setting from plain text (to markdown or something similar), please contact our support team and ask them to change it.

How It Works

  • The content entered in this field is returned at:

https://yourstorefront.com/llms.txt

  • The response is plain text and intended for AI crawlers

  • The endpoint is cached, so updates may not appear immediately

Important Notes

Domain-Level Behaviour

  • The LLM content is applied at the storefront/domain level

  • If multiple storefronts use path aliases, only one LLM configuration is used

Caching

If updates are not visible:

  • perform a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R)

  • or test in an incognito window

Example

If your LLM content is:

Hello from example storefront!

Then visiting:

https://yourstorefront.com/llms.txt

Will return:

Hello from example storefront!

When to Use This

Use this setting when:

  • your SEO agency provides AI-specific content

  • you want to improve visibility in AI-driven search results

  • you want to control how your storefront is interpreted by LLM tools

Troubleshooting

Content not updating

  • Clear cache or use incognito mode

No content at /llms.txt

  • Ensure the field is populated and saved in SEO Settings

Multiple storefronts with aliases

  • Only the primary storefront configuration will be used

Summary

The LLM Content setting allows you to expose AI-readable content via /llms.txt, helping improve how your storefront appears in AI search tools.

How Do I Configure URL Rewrite Rules within Storefront Management?

BEFORE YOU START: This is not an additional paid module, and its available for all of our customers, but please contact our support team first and they will enable this feature on your platform.

URL Rewrite Rules allow you to redirect users from one URL to another within your storefront. This is typically used to correct outdated links, support campaign URLs, or ensure users land on the correct page when a URL has changed.

How URL Rewrite Works

When a user visits a URL, the platform checks the incoming request against your configured rules. The request is always evaluated using http:// and port :80, regardless of whether the site is secure.

Rules are processed from top to bottom, and only the first matching rule is applied. If no rule matches, the request continues as normal.

Creating a URL Rewrite Rule

Navigate to Storefront Management → URL Rewrite Rules, then select Add new record.

You will be asked to complete the following fields.

Pattern

This defines the URL the user is arriving on. It must match the incoming request exactly and include http:// and :80.

For example:

Rewrite Pattern

This defines where the user should be redirected. This will typically be a secure URL.

For example:
https://www.example.com/new-page

Ignore Case

This optional setting allows the rule to match regardless of letter casing.

Use Redirect Permanent

Enable this to apply a permanent (301) redirect. This is recommended for most use cases.

Enabled

The rule must be enabled to take effect.

NOTE: For secured sites, we have to redirect to https instead of http.

Example

If users are visiting:

http://www.example.com:80/claim-offer

and should instead be redirected to:

https://www.example.com/t/claim-offer

you would configure the rule using the original URL as the Pattern and the destination as the Rewrite Pattern.

Troubleshooting

Most issues with URL Rewrite Rules are caused by small formatting differences in the Pattern field.

If a redirect is not working, first check that the Pattern matches the incoming URL exactly. Even a single unintended space — at the beginning, end, or within the URL — will prevent the rule from matching.

You should also avoid relying on additional characters such as /$. While these may appear in examples or tooltips, they are not always required and can prevent the rule from working in some cases. If a rule is not triggering, use the exact URL path without adding extra characters.

If the rule still does not apply, check that it is enabled and that no other rule above it is being matched first.

It is also important to ensure that the storefront alias used in the Pattern exists. If it does not, the request may be handled before the rewrite rule is evaluated.

Finally, test changes in a fresh browser session or incognito window to avoid cached results affecting the outcome.

Best Practice

Use clear and exact URL patterns, and keep rules as simple as possible. Place more specific rules higher in the list and test each rule after saving to confirm it behaves as expected.

Summary

URL Rewrite Rules rely on exact matching. Most issues are caused by small inconsistencies such as spacing, unnecessary characters, or rule order. By keeping patterns clean and testing thoroughly, you can ensure redirects work reliably across your storefront.

How do I configure Content Pages?

In order to provide all the information you need to customers that supplements your e-commerce website Infigo allows you to create Content or Topic Pages.

Most commonly Topic Pages are used for things like:

  • Contact Us page
  • About Us
  • FAQs
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Privacy Policy

Essentially any additional content you want to create and provide to your customers you can do so using Topic Pages.

A Topic Page is essentially a blank canvas for you to either use our WYSIWYG editor or insert HTML to create a custom static page of your choosing.

How-To

To do this, log in as an administrator to the management screen of the storefront you wish to adjust.

Navigate to Content Management -> Content Pages

Here you will find existing pages on your storefront. If you want to edit one of these, click the edit button to the right hand side.

mceclip0.png

If you want to add a page, click Add in the top right.

All pages MUST have a system name. Its Title can be left blank, as you may want to incorporate this into the content of the page. The body of the page can be as simple (text and images) or as complex (HTML content) as you require.

The toolbar along the top allows you to adjust text formatting, along with uploading images. Clicking the Cog button shows your HTML.

mceclip0.png

When you have finished adding page content, click Save and Continue to edit in the top right corner.

You will now see the full page link URL appear in the form. This can be used if you need to link to this page from somewhere else on the site or externally.

The secondary tab at the top of the page allows you to set Search Engine terms to this specific page, making your site search engine friendly throughout will mean key words return higher search engine placement.

How do I change my Storefront Title/Name?

When a new Storefront is created the default title for that store is set to "Example Store" however, Storefront Administrators can change the storefront name in Configuration > Settings > General Settings:

Adding a Chatbot to Your Infigo Storefront

Infigo does not currently provide a native chatbot module. However, you can integrate third-party chatbot tools into your storefront using script embedding.

This approach has been used by customers to add live chat functionality.

Important Notes

  • Chatbot functionality is not developed or maintained by Infigo
  • AI chatbot integrations (e.g. GPT-based tools) are not officially tested or supported
  • Any implementation using third-party tools is considered a custom setup

Commonly Used Tool

Some Infigo customers use Tawk.to via script embedding.

How It Works

Most chatbot providers supply a JavaScript snippet that can be embedded into your website. Once added, the chatbot widget appears on your storefront.

Setup Steps

1. Choose a Chatbot Provider

Select a third-party chatbot platform, such as:

  • Tawk.to
  • Other providers that support website embed scripts

2. Configure Your Chatbot

Within your chosen platform:

  • Create your chatbot or live chat setup
  • Configure behaviour (welcome messages, availability, automation, etc.)
  • Generate the embed script provided by the platform

3. Add the Script to Your Storefront

Add the chatbot script to your storefront via Infigo settings:

  • Navigate to:
Infigo Settings > PageHeaderContainer or PageFooterContainer
  • Paste the embed script into one of these fields
  • Save your changes

This ensures the chatbot loads across your storefront.

4. Test the Integration

  • Open your storefront
  • Confirm the chatbot widget appears
  • Test basic interactions and behaviour

AI Chatbots (Important Consideration)

AI-powered chatbots (e.g. ChatGPT-style assistants) may also provide embed scripts.

While these may work using the same method:

  • This has not been officially tested within Infigo
  • Behaviour and compatibility cannot be guaranteed

Troubleshooting

Chatbot not appearing

  • Ensure the script is correctly added to PageHeaderContainer or PageFooterContainer
  • Check browser console for errors
  • Confirm the chatbot is active in the provider dashboard

Chatbot appears but not functioning

  • Verify configuration in the third-party platform
  • Check if any scripts are being blocked

When to Contact Infigo

You may wish to contact Infigo if:

  • You need help identifying where to add scripts
  • You want guidance on best placement within your theme

For full custom chatbot implementations, additional development work may be required.

Summary

While Infigo does not include a built-in chatbot feature, you can extend your storefront using third-party tools by embedding scripts. This provides a flexible way to introduce chat functionality, including potential AI chatbot integrations.

How to Change the Registration Confirmation Text (Language Strings)

Users often want to customize the text displayed after registration to guide new members clearly. In this scenario, you might see a default message like:

Congratulations, you have successfully registered! Your registration has been successfully completed. You have just been sent an email containing membership activation instructions.

Because the second sentence is easily missed, you may wish to change it. Below is a step-by-step guide explaining how to update or remove this text from your storefront.

1. Access the Language Resource Strings

  1. Log in to your Infigo Admin area.
  2. Go to Admin > Language > View String Resources [for chosen language]

2. Search for the Specific String

  1. Look for the language string named Account.Register.Result.EmailValidation in the list of language resources.
  2. Click Edit or the relevant button to modify this resource.

3. Update the Text Value

  1. In the Value field, replace the existing message with your desired wording.
    • For example:

      Your registration is complete!
  2. Important: Only modify the Value. Do not alter the Name or Resource Key, as that can break the link between the software and the language file.

4. Save and Confirm Changes

  1. Click Update to save your changes.
  2. Open a private or incognito browser session and register a test account to ensure the updated text displays as expected.
  3. Verify you have not altered any other unwanted text on your site. (In this case, we can confirm this string is used only on the registration result page.)

5. Further Tips and Best Practices

  • Multilingual Sites: If your site is multilingual, be sure to repeat these steps for each language resource file so all customers see the updated text in their language.
  • Testing: Always test by completing a new registration. Ensure the final wording is clear so users do not miss the email activation steps.
  • Backup: Keep a record of your original strings in case you need to revert changes later.
